If you had your way, would you rather see Legion ported to PC, or to both current gen consoles.
Keep in mind Dust was originally intended to be cross-platform, but CCP and Microsoft were not able to come to a deal, leaving Dust as a PS3 exclusive.

I imagine that DUST 514 would get a far larger audience as a PC game. This has nothing to do with the PC being better or weaker than the PS4 or the number of consoles sold. Simply put, almost every EVE player would make a DUST 514 account if it was on the PC. By going on to the PS3, the primary people that were interested in the New Eden universe were split away. It was like releasing a sequel to a movie but only in Russian when it was originally in English. Sure, some English speakers may speak Russian but many won't. Russians may watch the movie but if it was a total sequel that built on the previous movie they would be totally lost.
Think of it this way: DUST 514 is not a very good game. With 80 million PS3's shipped "as of November 2nd, 2013", we have a very small community. We all know why; no new player experience, poor framerate, subpar graphics, steep learning curve, only 3 game modes that are all basically "kill each other" without significant difference, and matchmaking that is legendarily bad. So if that game were to go to PS4, with 19.9 million unites shipped "as of 31 December 2014", why would people suddenly expect a huge amount of additional players?
In other words: "Moving from the PS3 to the PC will result in less damage to DUST 514, or even a greater benefit, than moving to the PS4 instead." That's my opinion.

pc would have a bigger audience but it has always been my recollection that pc users are 40 year old men living in their mothers basement no life'ing it to the point that their fat rolls wrap around their chairs become a single entity, and considering how addicting dust *was* (looking at you warlords 1.0 >_<) for public safety ps4 & xbox 1.

I seen no advertising for this game. I would have been here way sooner. I got bored with Destiny and was looking at the ps store, found Dust swept under the carpet. |

You want to limit the game to one console... "because you're a Sony fan"? You realize it would be in Sony's best interest to have this game reach as large as audience as possible, as well as CCP and the community for that matter.
And I strongly disagree that PC reaches the largest player base. I predict if Legion were to go to PC there would be an initial spike of new players, but then would taper off. With no advertising whatsoever Dust would remain an 'underground' game.
Putting the game on both PS4 and XBONE is a huge opportunity.
It would roughly double the player base right off the bat. They would have much more leg room in the development process. CCP could hype it up as 'The Answer to the Console Wars', with catchphrases like 'Settle it on the battlefield'. Really gear it towards the fanboys, pit them against each other.
Then introduce two new corporations which would represent each console. There would either be a perpetual FW style war between them, or they would simply have periodic wars, which would split armies by console.
CCP could also have one set of unique dropsuits for each console. You can only get your respective console's suits from the market, but you could get the other set through salvage or player trade.
The suits would have identical stats for balance, but would visually be a nod to each consoles otherwise biggest title.
This kind of hype is what New Eden needs. Harness the power of the fanboys.
Fanboys would take these console wars very seriously, and no doubt EVE support would be a huge factor, building interest for EVE. Fanboys Dust side and EVE side.

CCP did look into this in the beginning, and Microsoft shut it down.
