Instead of random item pulls as we currently have what if strongboxes were factional in nature? Each races strongbox would only contain their technology. Perhaps these boxes could be obtained through playing factionals? Please add your ideas below. |

RNG item acquisition is one of the worst mechanics ever to be shoved into a video game as it replaces the concept of actually earning something with the concept of crossing your fingers and hope you get something good.
Strongboxes are even worse because it goes one step further by taking your salvage and placing it behind an RNG mechanic, and places it behind a paywall as well.
Lets keep the cancer known as Strongbox outside of FW; it has enough problems as is.

Unfortunately the truth. RNG is godawful as it basically likes to suggest that you could have the potential to maybe possibly be lucky enough to randomly be presented with the in game content you like.
With Dust the way it is now earning small number of disposable content using difficult to earn keys makes actually getting the gear you want damn hard.

I'm kinda wondering what this game would be like if Strong Boxes were rare and contained Module's, weapons, and BPO suits (however BPO suits only convey the colour scheme and cost ISK to field and have the same slot lay outs as every other racial suit of that type).
