Im kind of new here and ive been on a few times and saw alot of people running amarr assaults with assault rail rifles i was skilling into caldari and was wondering should i stop and just skill amarr like the rest or should i go all caldari like i was thinking |

Stick with what you are doing. Calass (Caldari Assault) gives bonuses to the rail rife, if I'm not mistaken.

I would like to promote Caldari [as my signature tells] but in current meta, Caldari assault is harder to use than rest.
I would suggest you to spec into minmatar/amarr. Or gallente [these ugly ones].
But it's your choice.

I would suggest heading to the rookie training ground. Midas and Myself were working on a thread answering some caldari questions, Arkena Wyrnspire already has a thread up about the gallente and is apparently gathering information to try and make a thread about the Amarr and Minmatar.
Different suits can play in incredibly different ways.

I am using amarr medium frame and an assault rail rifle. I don't think it matters what weapon until I get an assault suit. |

Welp I would say Cr (combat rifle)my fav weapon to choose but be sure to spec into that wep reload skill to a good 3 and remeber to check the ammo on your weapon of choice since its a 3 round burst you wanna be sure to keep spamming r1 to be sure your shooting I had some situations where I forgot about having the wep out and cried |

If you're ever interested in learning more about Dust, I'm hosting a lecture on the Lecture.D-UNI chat channel. It's for introducing new players to Dust. If you don't have a mic, that's ok. As long as you have voice chat on and you can hear me that's good enough. I'll be holding a Q&A session at the end of the lecture if you have any questions pertaining to gameplay.

Caldari Assault is the most powerful suit in the game for a loner. Regen tank it. Use your arr. You'll do fine.

This is true i have all assaults to Proto Cal seems the weakest and harder to use

IMHO you should check out which suit you are going to skill into, if that suit favours a certain weapon I'd take that probably.
