Here is a basic fitting that should work for anyone.
Features:
Amarr A-1 Assault
Scrambler Rifle
SMG
M-1 Locus Grenade
Enhanced Light Damage Mod
2x Basic Armor Plate
Enhanced Armor Repairer
If you have any fitting skills ("dropsuit electronics" and "dropsuit engineering") you should aim to upgrade the armor repairer and the rifle first.
As for a basic advanced fitting click
here.
Features:
Amarr A/1 Assault
CRW-04 Scrambler Rifle
SMG
M-1 Locus Grenade
2x Enhanced Light Damage Mod
2x Basic Armor Plate
1x Complex Reactive Plate
Complex Armor Repairer
This fitting assumes Dropsuit Electronics and Dropsuit Engineering at level 3 each. These are important to have.
The general philosophy behind these fittings is as follows:
- The Amarr Assault synergizes well with the Scrambler Rifle. The suit operation bonus provides a reduction in heat build-up that is very useful from lvl 3 upwards.
- The Scrambler Rifle works well with damage amplification modules. Not only do you deal more damage per shot, more importantly you deal more damage until you overheat. That statistic is important so you spend less time toasting yourself but rather toasting your enemies.
- I chose a SMG as a sidearm. Those are easy to handle and are very effective at finishing off your enemy's remaining armor when your Scrambler Rifle is about to overheat. SMGs have a bonus to armor damage that makes them perfect for this purpose. This complements the Scrambler Rifle well that has a bonus to shield damage.
- Amarr suits have slow movement speeds to begin with. Deducting a few percent movement speed due to armor plates doesn't affect them much. So that's what you're going to use to give yourself some additional hitpoints.
- You will need some sort of self-repair. Depending on how long you last in battle this can end up being your most important statistic, as it defines how much time you need to wait between two fights. The advanced fit can exchange the reactive plate for a normal armor plate if you find yourself dying too quickly, or for another complex armor repairer if you think it takes too long to regenerate your hitpoints after a fight.
- I skipped fitting an equipment item. The Scrambler Rifle doesn't consume much ammo, so you won't need a nanohive. Other equipment won't help you survive any longer too. If you have good fitting skills you may be interested in bringing an advanced active scanner. Those can help you identify groups of enemies through walls so you'll find yourself outgunned less often.
Please feel free to adapt these changes as you see fit. These are intentionally kept very basic to give you a start.
