Dampening is still viable but I used to be all about that passive scanning in early uprising. Now it's **** and the mods barely effect my range now. Secondly - no/low tank scout is hyperLOL Assault Rifle as compared to anything but rail rifle really. Solid gun don't get me wrong but a RS-90 has like 11 check marks next to it. Bandwidth on equipment decimates my RE/Uplink combo, literally the only two pieces of equipment I'm level 5'd in. No cloak, I do not believe in it but when you're skill bonus is pretty much centered around that and in combination to a weaker eWar on my scout... ScP rof nerf but it was kind of necessary but damn I would get kills like no tomorrow with my KLO-1. Still get good kills with it but it's not the same beast. they upped the CPU on the breach ScP which I have been rocking since I discovered the damn thing in closed beta and then introduced the bolt pistol as a big middle finger considering it fits better and hits harder and shoots further. They reduced vehicle efficacy of mass drivers. Remember when you could flux and take down a Gunnloggi with a Breach MD? They nerfed the dropship agility hella after chromosome, and made the 5100 Myron impossible because they removed all the cool modules. They took away my arbiter class They took away corp battles They took away scattered blasters They took away Prometheus It just seems like CCP has got to break down my style into itty bitty pieces. Why do I continue to play if my style is a mere fraction of the power it used to have. I have a very unique loadout that seemed to just get fizzled out nerf after nerf from one thing to the next. These were all things I loved but now what is there to love about my character except that he's a fuckin' clown? Bojo was a real member of my family but he recently passed away. Why should I even keep this character now when everything Bojo The Mighty was about has been boiled down to scum on the pan and when the real Bojo is dead? Bojo For CPM

I feel your pain bojo. I've had to make a lot of adaptations to the way I play, and I must say that my old style of playing no longer exists at all. Additionally, I've had to abandon many of my old loadouts altogether. My best wishes as you find your new identity in Dust. My apologies that you are being forced to change.

I also used to rock the RE/Uplink combo, across various fits, and now I am down to one Uplink fit, and stopped carrying REs on a number of the suits I regularly play. Since the EWAR and other changes, I have played with and without cloak, each with its own frustrations. If I don't wear a cloak, I am easily seen from a distance, and am easily killed at 200 HP. There is not enough cover to move in lots of areas of the maps, and once I am seen, there is nothing I can do. If I wear a cloak, I am still highly visible, and can only safely cover wide open areas, while not being able to defend myself if anyone catches a glimpse. Before 1.8, I could regularly get around or above a 1.0 KDR, but since these changes it is rare for me to get that high, while regularly going half of it. I can't even run ISK positive in hacking suits.... You have a point in not playing. I have played very sporadically, and will continue to do so until there is some real role for me to play. People shouldn't have to completely corrupt their dedicated role in order to actually perform well. Former CEO of the Land of the BIind. Any double entendre is unintended I assure you.

I find the AR and RR to both be equally great depending on the range I need to be in and what is FOTM. A lot of cal and min assaults right now so the AR I think does very well with 2 dmg mods. But yeah I feel the same as you. I miss playing Ewar ranged/precision with my gal scout making the tac or burst work well with my passive range. I am blind while cloaked so no reason to have ewar when not cloaked as I need the HP for when I am getting shot by the enemy I can not see while cloaked and through the cloak delay. I have even made me a gal assault that has EVERYTHING my gal has now with more HP that includes a std cloak and 27 profile. I run all my scout fittings at 27 profile because of the new ewar changes. Ranged scout should not be close enough to be seen in someones inner passive ring and very rarely ever scanned by active scanners in pubs. Went from 250-300 hp to 500+ hp suits and that is my std scout. I guess the tank scout was always the way we were supposed to be and the ewar was what logi is supposed to be. maybe they will make commando the new logi since they are making assaults the new commandos.

I'm not saying your play style was doing any of those...but self-evaluation. Take me for example, I use remote explosives A LOT. No worries...I've got gun game as well and can melt your face with my Duvolle AR but I set traps and chuck RE's through windows or something like that! HOWEVER, my most favorite trick is to see you in your LAV and see you trying to run my blueberry brethren down and I'll drop 3 remote explosives and then back up about 4-5 feet and stand there....here you come, full speed.....I know exactly when to tap the RE's trigger and they detonate as you roll over them and BOOM! You're dead. Yes I could do it with proximity explosives....but I do it with RE's for style points :D (Petition CCP for style points?) BUT moral of the story is that if my play style ever got nerfed (RE's + Shenanigans) I would know it was because I was slapping my meat stick on the iWin button a little bit. So with that being said...self-evaluate. Is your style of play manipulative or iWin button stick slapping worthy?
