It seems to me that the last turns Dust took were very "gun game" oriented. I was never good at aiming and hitting clones with a gun and never will, so I was happily filling the role of team support. Yes, I was spamming gear at strategic locations, hacking objectives and installations, planting murderous minefields, repping and reviving dudes, doing some joyriding into HAVs with rigged-LAVs, running infiltrations missions along with diversions maneuvers...
With the recent waves of changes, my gameplay have been radicaly nerfed. I have not yet wrapped my mind around the concept of "Bandwith" and how to adapt my Fittings and strategies.
In other words, I need help getting back on tracks and optimizing my team support gameplay.

Basically I just think of it as limiting me to what i have on my suit. So no more "Spawn and die" type suits. I feel like it forces us to have a universal Logi suit. Which we can change out ammo for scanners, but can't spawn, lay down 6 nanohives, die then spawn and lay 6 uplinks, die then spawn again and rep heavies till end-screen. |

You can't fit a suit with all uplinks or all hives and spam an area anymore. I will agree, it is much tougher to be a real logi (not a chubby chaser) than it used to be, logis are still very important to the battelfield.
I carry a needle and rep tool on every suit. Proto preferably but advanced still does the job. This leaves your last slot ot two for your specialization/support. In the case of amarr, and uplink. Gallente I go with scanner, min can do whatever but hives/links seem to be the norm. Caldari is hives.
Basically, I make three suits. All of them have needle/rep, then link, hive, scanner respectively. I can come in the first suit, drop two links, and rep/revive until I die/switch at depot. 2nd suit I can scan/rep/revive. If ammo is needed (usually someone else has ammo,) I can switch to my hive suit and throw a few out while retaining my links, because bandwidth still hasn't been reached.
If anything, bandwidth has given the logi its role back a bit. Before, I could just spam links and switch to a heavy and presto, top of the board.

Well, as a logi and not an equipment spamming, lag generating piece of crap I would have to say that my play style has not been affected.
Here is my Jack-of-all-trades logi fitting.
Minmatar Logi
High Slots -Complex Shield Extenders x 2 -Complex Precision Enhancer x 2 (mostly because nothing else would fit)
Low Slots -Complex Armor Repairer x 2 -Complex Armor Plate -Enhanced Armor Plate
Equipment -Ishukone Gauged Nanohive -Viziam Flux Drop Uplink -Wiyrkomi Nanite Injector -Six Kin Triage Repair Tool (republic boundless repair tool if I have ran enough mfw)
Grenade -Flux Grenade (the lowest level one)
Weapon -EXO-5 Mass Driver
CPU usage 508/512
PG usage 102/102
This fitting will help quite a bit with being able to take advantage of any situation and almost assure you the top of the leaderboard.
Also, tips to help you get more points. -Master the PTSD dance of bullet evasion. (just never stop moving, if you do stop moving it better be behind some primo cover) -BE IN A SQUAD WITH COMMS! -If you are repairing someone that can hear you talking, TELL THEM THAT YOU ARE REPAIRING THEM. -If you see an enemy coming, tell the person closest (or primarily the person you are repairing) to you from their perspective what direction they are coming from. -Memorize where to aim from all locations on how to hit the inside of the hack point with the Mass Driver. -Drop 1 link 50-150m away from each objective you are pushing with your squad, if you take the objective place a link between 25-50m away, NEVER closer.
There are a lot more but if you master all of those you can come up with more stuff and hopefully share it with me. I love learning new tricks.
P.S. I almost never make money, but I do almost always break even.
P.P.S. Bandwidth was my idea. Only thing that wasn't was the name.
Ebola makes me feel all warm and squishy inside.

But that's *kitten* crazy! I use many different Dropsuits, each having different Bandwith and different gear.
For every Fitting I use, I have to memorize the Dropsuit's Bandwith, along with gear's Bandwith equipped and deployed. I have to calculate the Bandwith's difference each time I swap a suit? Wondering if what I deployed just vanished because of a negative diffenrence and it's potential location on the map?! That's an absolute counter to strategic planning.

I understand that Bandwith works a bit like Drone capacity for each ships in EVE Online.

There's nothing to remember. Commmndo, assault, scout have 12-16 bd at proto. Logis have x, you know how much.
There should be only one more feature added to this. HUD bar showing how much bd you're using. Cuz when somebody destorys your eq, you don't know about it in most cases.
