I just opened 15 boxes and 12 out of those 15 were standard bullsh*t. Why would people in eve put standard modules and junk in these strongboxes. It's like going to the back and depositing a broken refrigerator , a worthless piece of junk.

I got a "Quafe" Sniper Rifle BPO yesterday.
It wasn't the BPO I wanted, and I already have a sniper BPO, and I've opened about 150 boxes and that's the only BPO I have received.
But it's still a BPO none-the-less :)

Don't worry. CCP Frame* said he's looking into adjusting the strongbox tables so that only higher-tier stuff is found. He didn't say when.

Every once in a while, someone posts a thread on a Friday that makes me smile, and sets me up to enjoy my weekend. Hasn't happened in a while on this Forum, so kudos to you players for making this the fun thread, and thanks Sir Dukey for starting it.
As a player who has 416 unopened strongboxes, and 6 (YES, I said SIX) hacked keys in my possession, I made a promise that I worked way too hard to earn those six keys, to waste them opening any strongboxes until the devs say they have firmly scripted good stuff to appear in them when they are opened.
So Petrified's advice is really great advice. New Eden is about oily car dealers looking to foist rip-off, con-man, slick sucker-bait products/services to the trusting player. It is the Core and Lore mechanic in the Eve game, and I've actually learned to expect it and be entertained by it as part of a fun imaginary Dust universe.
Expect EVERY new item and component introduced to us (yes, even the new warbarge thingy, and the Officer goodies in looted suitcases) to be a new kind of bait from forked-tongued corporations and agents.
Have fun about it, and be shrewd,GǪ to CCP doesn't need to fleece us out of our Aurum THAT easily.
WAIT a a week or so longer before you open that stolen briefcase and researcher's abandoned luggage! Let some other gullible merc be the lab-mouse who turns the key on his box and sees spring-loaded worms shoot out of it.
