I know not everyone reads the council chamber section, so here:

The vacant seat will not be filled in this term.
I guess we can say... He got Judged.

It'd be nice if we had some council members who weren't diehard apologists though.

How? The very moment he was elected, he stopped posting videos besides a pair of 30 second random moments, stopped posting anything on the forums, and did not contribute to the community nor the CPM?
I voted for the barnacle and I regret it.

We need apologists. Someone needs to be the Devil's Advocate.
I don't think it's a good sign for the game if even the apologists don't give a damn anymore.
'A congress without gridlock' so to speak, may sound nice and convienient. But is as dangerous a system as it gets. No support for/opposition to "bad" or controversial ideas is a very very bad way to move forward.

I don't think we need anyone who defends a system where it takes 150 days of grinding to produce a facility that allows you to pay 309 AUR for 1 STD AV grenade.

Well, I suppose now you've suggested an implementation that might get someone to pay for it, it might actually get added to the game.

One of the last few posts Judge made was his disappointment with CCP nerfing Assault Dropships.
I'm assuming he had very little interest in actually helping balance the game and was more interested in making sure ADSs stayed dominant. Once his favorite toy was neutered he just sulked off. People boast about how "informative" his videos were, but they were also incredibly biased and he was always victimizing himself and other ADS pilots which got really annoying.

As someone who did not vote for him given his atrocious behaviour in campaign threads, people saw this coming.

His videos were very informative and were trying to inform ongoing community debate about stuff like cloaking and DS v Swarm balance.
I think more likely he just got really interested in destiny instead and decided not to spend time on dust anymore. Its not always someone being a ****, sometimes peoples priorities just change. |

That's sad to hear.
No need to bash the guy.
He was very thorough in his executions. I could see how that could be tiring, especially if it became an expectation and not an offering. I don't know the details, but it's easy to see multiple reasons that could exist for such behavior.
Appia was next in line. Is she even around anymore? Tesfa is on everyday I've been on. 3 months is a long time for a cold seat. I think a fresh set of eyes wouldn't be a bad thing either.
Letting it sit vacant is a lazy idea.

Appia is probably worse than having an empty seat. She isn't around though.
As for Tesfa, I wouldn't mind him occupying it but unfortunately it's staying vacant. vOv
