Effective immediately, CPM member Judge Rhadamanthus has been removed from the Council of Planetary Management.
He has been removed in a joint decision by the remaining delegates of CPM1, with the agreement of CCP, due to a prolonged inactivity and show of no interest to further participate in any CPM and CCP discussions and fulfill his role as a council member.

In the past few months I have tried multiple times to get in contact with Judge but unfortunately failed with every single try. It is unfortunate that this had to happen. CPM1 will continue to operate as it has been - providing us valuable daily feedback and having conversation every step of the way regarding DUST 514 development.

The CPM is not a position where apathy should be tolerated. Regrettably, we will never benefit from the contributions Judge was uniquely poised to make. I wish him the best in his endeavors.

What's the process from here? Are you electing someone else? I guess with Fanfest 3 months away I'm guessing you'll just make do .... if you'd been operating with an AWOL member anyway it shouldn't really make much of a difference. |

He won by a landslide because he was popular and alot of people thought he was being bullied by the other CPM candidates because of his attitude towards communication (also helped by pyrex's videos reccomending him)
just a reminder to people to look at the past and present actions of a candidate before voting for them, not just looking at a video or two, the most popular person is rarely the best choice

I guess with 3 months left, might as well leave the seat vacent.
Hypothetically though, we do still have the original vote data, we could offer the spot to whoever would've won had Judge been removed at the start.

Its was Appia Vibia, then me.I was 8th placed in the 1rst round of voting, and then she got past me by on place when all the rounds were tallied
Appia was one of the people I voted for, she seemed a good fit on the council.
But I wouldnt say no if I was offered a juicy spot though.

It's good to see CPM and CCP take the initiative to deal with even a difficult issue such as this. The CPM being open about this issue and making sure that the community is aware of the situation shows a healthy maturity on the council's part as well.
Communication is key not only on CCP's part but the CPM as well. I think this shows some very positive steps with the CPM keeping the players informed on what's happening specifically with the council.

I can't speak for Appia, she should get priority but for me, why not? 3 months see what its like to be on the CPM and decide if i'll try to get on it or just leave things be. Can't be anything short of a unique perspective on things, so i would take that oppoutunity with both hands.

I'm not gonna say I'm surprised by this given the lack of activity he has shown since he was elected. Before being elected he showed a lot of interest and provided a ton of feedback and reviews with suggestions on balancing vehicles and AV. That's why I voted for him during the previous elections. He showed a lot of interest in Dust.
But then he started to fall silent after being elected. At that point I was like... huh?

I, too, feel the need to express how unfortunate this situation is. Judge provided a lot of excellent content for the community and the immense amount of support he received during his election campaign speaks to the respect that many people had for his knowledge and contributions. However, the responsibilities of this council are such that we cannot abide chronic absenteeism. This decision had to be made. |

The CPM, to date, has had a history of some fairly bad dealings, unfortunately.
Cazaderon ditching at the news of Project Legion Nova Knife kicked off for... Well, being -TOO- passionate. Toward the end even Kain Spero had to lessen his activities on the CPM due to RL.
And now Judge has been officially removed due to the inactivity, despite being the peoples' choice (by a landslide no less).
While the community had absolutely nothing to do with the first CPM (0) as far choice, this CPM was totally at the hands of the community. It was a bad call, unfortunately, but regardless we need to learn from that.

Personally I feel that the CPM and CCP should never have even brought this matter up. There are more important issues to be dealing with than Judge's absenteeism. Yeah he stopped showing up. It's literally a non-issue, you should have gone on without him from the very beginning.
Also, I still think the high number of votes Judge got was well earned. He, and probably the majority of his supporters have done much like everyone else should and left to go play better games. There is only one true way to convince CCP to get good at game making, and that is to spend your money elsewhere. |

Yeah he stopped showing up. It's literally a non-issue, you should have gone on without him from the very beginning. There were loud audible requests from the community for us to do so. (Kain was one of those loud audible voices.) Bayeth Mal wrote:While we're at it, can we kick Rouge for inactivity too?
( -í-¦ -£-û -í-¦) He seems a bit forum shy, but I can at least assure you he is not inactive. That's comforting to know. Have you tried encouraging him to reach out to the forums? (Especially with regards to Legion. It's been way too long without any new Legion information.)
