Day two of the event = I am Not Pleased.
Yesterday with the 5 keys I got the following crap that I Will Not Use.
Neo Scout Caldari x30
Neo Gallente Scout x30
Neo Amarr Assault x50
Crappy combat rifles x15
Crappy Minmatar scout x40
Day 2.
More Crappy Combat rifles x30 <--- I'm tired of it.
More Neo dropsuits. x30
Militia SMG x15
Caldari SMG x20
A Proto Rail gun turret x3
The Only good thing about today's stuff is the Proto Rail gun turret x3.
I find it very unfair how I have to spend 2 hours on these challenges which don't get me wrong its good but when getting the keys and using them to unlock the strongboxes I always pray to get something awesome but no I get CRAP.
I'm sick and tired of seeing that "Neo"
I know that I'm not the only one dealing with this and every player deserves better rewards.
Why not change the colors of the strong box such as,
Yellow for Officer.
Red for Proto.
Blue for Advance.
Green for Militia.
With in those colors you may only get that type of stuff so If I got 5 red Strongboxes, I would only need to get Proto stuff.
Please take it as an idea. Come on CCP don't make us players mad.

first 5 keys:
1x Kalentes
1x Kalentes (In 2 consecutive boxes.... and i hear of people that get 4 of them in ONE box)
a handful of those ****** AUR 'premium starter fit' prefit min heavies
a couple of gal logis that ill never use
a couple of gal commandos that ill never use
Next 5 keys:
A couple assault A-I
a couple more ****** AUR premium starter fits, galass this time
some assault rifles
a handful of Proto Ferroscales
some other useless garbage

Well your reward is the isk and the SP you make in battle. Everything else is a bonus - including the missions.
Having said that I'm surprised that anyone pays aurum for the keys as clearly the items inside are so rarely value for it as you say. I think the best way to approach it is to accept that the strongboxes will yield stuff that pads your isk when you sell it and every so often provide useful additions to your arsenal.

I'm pretty sure CCP is saying that the BPO's are a bonus. They shouldn't be expected. You should expect utter crap, but maybe, maybe, you can get a BPO. You literally save 20 bucks. Yeah, keys should come in easily. But the BPO's shouldn't be expected non stop.

EDIT: Can I have a headsup as to what we will be able to do with the new battle salvage (mangled coil assembly, etc)? Is it used to make the experimental weapons or do they just cost more components?
For anyone wanting an extra ISK boost each match, sell these items (from the salvage tab), as they can bring in a nice amount of extra ISK in comparison to normal salvage.
