I believe the assault rifle is considered a plasma weapon, no?
It just sounds and looks a lot more like a conventional weapon than what I'd expect a plasma weapon to be.
Explanation?

Incredibly hot matter encased in a shell of shaped magnetic fields so that said plasma retains enough of a coherent form to make contact with the enemy and melt them violently.

What the Plasma Rifle is is actually a weapon that super heats the suspended particles to a plasma state within the Hybrid Charges to and projects them at a foe. With 60 rounds to a magazine I can't imagine there is a great deal of suspended matter in the charged to be heated to a plasma state.

A bunch of hot particles. Future or not, I wonder how they're able to turn "suspended particles" into plasma. How do they in the magazine? How does the rifle heat them up so quickly and manage to do so constantly? |
