For the uninitiated, a Burger King crown looks like this.
When you are really little, if you parents wish you the finest diabetus and childhood obesity, they would take you to Burger King. If an order came through for a kid's meal they would place a little paper crown on your food tray. Your parents would assemble it for you and place it upon your tiny noggin.
Suddenly you were a little king! A little queen! It was play time.
You didn't earn anything. Your parents just paid for a kid's meal at a fast food joint. It's not like you achieved anything through hard work or dedication.
That's pretty much how these warbarges make me feel. Sure, they are cool and I'll use them, but I don't feel any sense of progression from them. We didn't earn them. We aren't warlords. We're just wearing colorful cardboard hats.
Does anyone else feel this way?

Ripley you are 100% right. This is exactly how I feel. Maybe my crown can be applied to EVE somehow in the future. Seems like EVE and Dust will be one in the same here before too long. I pray to God that this game doesn't ever die. This creation of CCP's is so wonderful. I really think this game still has the potential to go all the way. It gets my money because I don't want this to stop. I really enjoy it. it's a great break from reality and I have met tons of wonderful people here.

People like to say that giving kids crowns and stuff yields them into a false sense of security that "everyone wins." In this regard, I don't think it quite works. You know what I thought when I got my crown: "neat hat." Kids generally can't think of deeper meanings
Though the Warbarge is shockingly more boring than I thought it would be. I figured there would be some premium advantage to spending Aurum but it is a lot more than I thought it would be. Worse of all, TIMERS. I hate that the strategy for making money in a mobile game is moving over to non-mobile games. Timers are pretty damn evil.

Kidding me BK is probably the healthiest of all the burger joints. Whopper- "off the broiler", extra maters, extra pickles, onions, extra lettuce-no cheese and no mayo.
I'll eat a burger about once a month. with my son and this is my burger of choice-make sure you order "off the broiler".
Omega-3 and flax seed oil about an hour ahead of time..LOL! |
