Get rid of all std strongbox loot, except quafe BPC/BPO, and MAYBE adv modules
I get that we need "bad draws", gear we don't really value
but I think the bad draw SHOULD/COULD be, gear you are not skilled into or have no plans to skill into
Still the option to sell etc, raises value of boxes and keys
I know it's a common complaint
Would YOU be happy with above solution, would YOU buy more keys

Yes, if STD/ADV gear was removed (apart from strongbox exclusives like Quafe BPOs etc), this would persuade me to buy some keys, but only after they implement trading.

How would you feel if loot was kept the same, but the "keymaker" warbarge subsystem was implemented? It would generate 1 - 5 keys per day based on it's current level. This way you could open a handful of boxes every day without spending AUR.

Im just thinking along the lines that strongboxes should contain valuable gear, whether u want it or not
But id like to see
Quafe std gear BPO/BPC (or any other std BPO's Ccp wishes to put in) Neo Adv suits/ weapons/equipment/turrets Packaged vehicle fits Proto modules Proto weapons/suits/equipment/turrets Officer gear
Within that there will still be things a player will not want, I've also elected not to include adv modules as again the value is negligible
But u can sell them or trade them (soon tm)
I just rage so hard at
39 basic kin cats 12 neo commando a-1 51 tsunami mass drivers Etc etc
Strongboxes should always contain "GOOD" loot I honestly think you will see much more enthusiasm

If they make boxes all proto and officer gear people will just scream pay to win.
They just need to significantly increase the amount of keys dropped in salvage and remove all the defender crap prefit suits from rotation.
The problem is people are simply gambling on getting officer weapons when they buy boxes. Anything else they could buy more of and better suited equipment for the AUR. The whole system needs to be reworked and earning officer weapons should be based on merit not on total randomness.
My suggestion was for an officer store which requires commendation medals for shopping. These medals would be given as salvage in victories, for completing missions, and be a random item in strong boxes. Atleast that way people that play more can earn them as well as get the variant they want and not spend days or weeks playing only to receive an officer weapon that they can not and will not ever use. |

Got 2 batches of 'Neo' Commando A-Is with two keys. It really crushed my hopes of finding anything decent. |

Eh just no more std gear, I think it's a fair compromise
CCP sells more keys
I don't get more std gear which has a value of a fraction of a pub payout
CCP want a "YOU LOSE" part of strongboxes, let it be the things I don't use...e.g proto not caldari Not the things NOBODY really wants
Maybe im just butthurt, but I fail to see a bad side to the proposed change
