I have noticed recently a lot of people whipping out the flaylock pistol right before I am about to kill them turning what appeared to be a winning moment for myself into armageddon. I decided to look at the stats of the flaylock pistol and I must say that the splash damage is complete bullshit when you consider how fast you can fire that gun.

Splash really isn't much when your pretty much guessing where your enemy is going to be. In groups however you just shoot into the crowd.

What do you mean by guessing where your enemy is at? There is no guessing when you are engaged in one on one combat with someone and both of you have been firing your primary weapon at each other.
The reason I say the splash damage is bullshit is because it is very close to equaling the damaged inflicted from a direct hit with the gun plus the ability to fire a bunch of shots repeatedly at the ground around the person who just outskilled you is ****** up. You don't have to aim directly at the person to kill them with the flaylock pistol. All you have to do is fire the gun repeatedly at the ground around the person, not once ever landing a direct hit, and you will end up killing that person.

The flaylock hit detection is so broken, you don't have the right to complain about it.

The flaylock is absolutely ridiculous if you have any height advantage what so ever.

I can't hit sh&t with the flaylock and yet I regularly get killed by it.
I'm aware this is an indication of my innate cr&pness.
Much as I like the noise and mess it makes as I spin around firing it - If I respec'd it would go I think.

Flaylock is for newbs. If someone have 'aim' abilities then he uses ScP. Sadly i'm not one of these people who can land headshoots with it.

Never really wanted to skill into flaylock, since it was absolutely broken when I started this game, but since it came with two of the apex suits, I went for it anyway, and maaan do I like it on my min heavy. It's perfect to help with taking out EQ and also as a finisher when running out of ammo in a fight.
It's also quite devestating when you land those direct hits +¡n cqc... |

As with the PLC, I think the key is practice and invested SP. I skilled the FP to lvl 3 when it was OP but couldn't use it at all, all the while getting owned by it. Same with the PLC. But, after months of neglecting them, I put more SP into them then practiced regularly and now they are both beastly weapons to wield. I love them both.
My next weapon to conquer is the MD, which I find myself in the same situation with - I invested more SP and now just have to practice.
The SCR was the first weapon that went through this 'struggle-to-use>neglect>reinvest>practice>git-gud' cycle.
I absolutely suck with Caldari weaponry and have no wish to improve.

I use the FP (and the SMG) because I like to pair weapons with opposite damage profiles, so once the enemy is into armour I whip out my SMG or FP. I'm not a fan of opening with my pistol because it takes longer to switch to a light weapon than a sidearm.

You must be high to think that , that makes you guys good when you do that $h!T .
Do you feel all warm and fuzzy killing MLT suits and playing in PRO the whole match when you see that you clearly outmatch the competition in gear and SP's but still feel the need to go and stay in PRO ???
If it's anything that's broken , it's the fact that CCP still allows that crap to happen or better yet , the fact that there are players such as yourself and your cronies who take advantage of such .
You guys make FA look bad with that $h!t .
Doubts are like flies and should be treated as such and crushed .
