Please tell me, i am new to this idea of armor tanking.
So far i set both of them up like this:
double damage modded, nanohives, 700+ armor @ 22 reps (amarr), 688 armor @29 reps (gallente)
on a side-note
HOLY CRAP double-damage modded viziam deals 105 damage/shot to shields 
Stabbed to death:
Radar R4D-47, duna2002, killed again
more to come...

My proto Amarr assault has 2 armour plates, 2 reps and a green jar. Gives me six hundred and something armour. not on my console atm. will get back to you with specifics

Why the cardiac regulator on an amarr dropsuit? It has plenty of stamina

I like having 4 Reactive Plates and a Complex Repairer on my Gallente Assault.
1 Plate BPO and 2 Repair BPO on my STD, and 4 Reactives on my ADV.
I used to have 3 Reactives, 1 Repair, and 1 Kincat, but I like the extra plate. |

it gives 709 HP on the Gal and 740 on the Amarr, both have space enough for those glorious Allotek hives...

this low slot fitting will keep you from touching your speed because 1% movement penalty can keep you from jumping over railings(I am a super soldier with super technology and I cant conquer a railing?!?!? ).....and anything nearly as high... amarr are the only ones that see this issue at just 1% penalty
or
2 enhanced plates
3 complex reps
no jumping for you ,stick to cover and 30hps will keep you safe...until the bolt pistol or shotgun tries to get you....don't even attempt to jump or strafe around just fire till your finger cramps and you are dead or they are.
I do double damage mods because I feel a third isn't worth it, so I tend to toss on a extender

I like damage mods, x3-4 ferroscale and x1-2 reps. The gal assault also has enough low slots that a complex dampener isn't out of the question. It will get you down to ~30dB, and below most passive scans.

My advanced Gallente Assault has two enhanced damage mods (one for light weapons and one for sidearms). One Enhaced code breaker, Enhaced Armor Plate, Complex Kinetic Catalyzer and Enhaced Armor Repairer.
GEK-38 and T-12 Ion Pistol.

Several configs.
3x ferro + 2x reps/5x reactive/3x reactive + 2x kincats are the three I use the most.
In the high slots I usually use a damage mod and then shield extenders.

proto weapon, usually Carthum AScR
it keeps you highly mobile, good amour hp and high passive reps, pretty OP tbh.
its highly rare i'll ever use it though, i'm not a fan of using proto in pubs and just use bpos, normally with bpo mods too. if a suit costs more than 25k i'm splashing out on the isk lol
