Background story
Bomb Outrage at Eliaron Idama Rally on OrvolleGÇÖs Scope Station
Eliaron Idama, retired military officer and Councilman, is one of the six candidates in the Gallente President elections. Eliaron's recent election rally in Orvolle was target of a bomb attack causing. Members of the Virette Legion, an organization of retired Federal Marines, protected and escorted Eliaron to safety, but three members were killed and twelve more wounded in the attack. Eliaron Idama has often spoken out against organized crime and Serpentis-affiliated crime gangs.
Voice modification surgery leak discredits Serena Nova; withdrawal of backers lends credibility to claims
Serena Nova, a known actress, has to face alleged leaked medical records that show past voice modification surgeries to advance her career. In the light of those accusations several backers withdrew their financial support. At the moment the credibility of those records are unclear as well as the origin of the leak. Nova has yet to comment on these accusations.
Roden Speaks At Arcurio Election Address
President Roden speaks in an address made from the site of the Operation Highlander memorial in District 24 of Arcurio. Roden addressed questions regarding the current state of the economy ("most stable position for almost a decade") and the Executive Order 81042 gaining him power before his election ("with the best interests and safety of the Gallente people"). Roden also confirmed that the Federation is still at war and at threat from the Caldari State.
Kelen Ontbad Holds Election Holorally at Algintal Complex
Kelen Ontbad, a federation-born Vherokior artist and philosopher, is one of the six candidates in the Gallente President elections. Ontbad recent speeches in favor of integration and reconciliation with expatriate Matari gained him a some favor and financial support in the Algintal constellation to join those elections. It remains unclear if Ontbad has considerable support outside the Algintal constellation.
Status of Caldari Prime in Election Spotlight as Shaileen Ramnev Speaks
Shaileen Ramnev, former Mayor of Arcurio and resistance fighter on Caldari Prime, is one of the six candidates in the Gallente President elections. Ramnev is well known for her defense of the interests and rights of the general population of Caldari Prime and in general put the issue of Caldari Prime at the center of her campaign.
Gallente Presidential Election Enters Advance Voting Stage
Early voting in the elections for the next Gallente President have started. While the current president of the Gallente Federation, Jacus Roden, runs for office again, we see five additional candidates with mixed backgrounds: artist Kelen Ontbad, resistance fighter and former mayor of Arcuio Shaileen Ramnev, retired military officer Eliaron Idama, and actress Serena Nova. A better way would be ingame getting news.
1.News could be at the start screen where the patch notes are ingame.
2.Or we could have New Eden news on the vid in Captains quarters
3.Eve Mail about New Eden News could be a way to make this happen with out much dev requirements.
Posting New Eden Back story News in game could help us fall into the Rabbits Hole Alice!
Be careful what you wish for he could turn those into modules and charge Aurum...

VILLORE GÇô In the last hour the Scope has learned that Jacus Roden has been re-elected as President of the Gallente Federation, with a relatively narrow lead over media favorite Shaileen Ramnev in the final election count.
Confirmation of the presidentGÇÖs successful bid for a second term came in the form of a public address from on board Senate Headquarters in orbit of the sixth moon of Villore Seven. The results of the election were announced by Head Senator Andon Gardieu, in a broadcast to trillions across the Federation from the traditional location on the steps of the Senate Chamber.
President RodenGÇÖs victory appears to have surprised a number of independent political polling groups, who had published results just days ago to show that popular opinion appeared to favor Remnev in most of the densely populated core region of Essence, including the core constellations of Crux, Arand, Patrie and Thoulde.
It would appear however, that President RodenGÇÖs platform of continued increases in funding for defense and security, along with further investment in strengthening of the Tripwire Border Protection Program have swayed opinion significantly in continued times of conflict with the State, and strained relations with the Republic since the death of Karin Midular in May YC115.
Analysis from voting demographics indicates that his views on further bolstering of Federal security, as well as preservation of culturally and historically important sites within the Federation tipped the voting balance in the border regions of Solitude, Placid and Sinq Laison, with many political analysts believing this to be the key to his victory.
Roden secured a solid 54.2% of all votes cast, down 4.5% on his previous victory over Governer Celes Aguard in the YC111 election. RodenGÇÖs victory was followed closely by his closest challenger, Shaileen Ramnev, who collected 39.7% of all votes cast. Third in the running for election was Federation-born Vherokior artis Kelen Ontbad, who secured 5.1% of votes cast, with the remaining votes dispersed among other candidates.
When contacted for comment by The Scope, Shaileen Ramnev appeared in good spirits, unphased by election defeat and smiling as she offered her congratulations to President Roden, commenting that GÇ£while my bid for presidency wasnGÇÖt successful this time around, IGÇÖll continue to do my part for the people of the Federation, and make every day count. Meanwhile in Villore, President Roden lauded his fellow candidates, paying particular attention to Ramnev, commenting that GÇ£while Miss Ramnev may not have succeeded in her bid for the presidency this time around, it will be a pleasure to work with her going forward, and my admiration for her unfaltering dedication to the Gallente people remains as strong as ever.GÇ¥
