I read that someone went down a rank, but has anyone managed to progess a rank or two further?
I'm half to my next rank since this introduction but seems a long way off without spending a ****-ton of Aurum haha |

You guys have to realize that just about every new addition coming out whether it be loyalty rank, strongboxes, and now war barges are just CCP trying to find new ways for you to buy Aurum.
Can't blame em, they're a business and they need revenue to pay their employees. That aside, don't expect to make any significant progress in a short time on just about anything without paying in a F2P game.

I went up in rank yesterday. Yes, seems solely dependent on spending aur. It looked liked 100aur =50pts.

When ranks were introduced I was automatically rank 10, colonel. Took about a month and another $100 or so to reach 12, brigadier. Since reaching brigadier I've easily spent another $200 and an not even half way to level 12. I will never see rank 13. Does anyone even know what it is?

I went from 11 to 12, based almost entirely on spending money (I assume). It's pretty much like the real world where any proxy for power and influence helps you move up.
