i tried out my old tried and true trapmaster playstyle (demo-logi) and im actually impressed, you've all gotten smarter ever since the scuicide scouts started using my tricks.
theres not too many of you falling for the basics anymore, i aactually had a difficult time setting up and executing my RE traps, maybe because im rusty, maybe because im using a different suit and style to it, but all in all im impressed that in the last year the playerbase has caught on to the basics.
just wanted to say thanks for not making it easy :P i used to go 30+/4- and now i dont get nearly the same results.

They're definitely getting better about it....people are more aware of RE's and flux'ing them
However...I've gotten into the realm where I don't even try to get a high kill ratio anymore....I try to get out with the least amount of deaths as possible. In one Skirmish recently, I owned a shotgun scout rocking a cloak like 6 times in a row....twice with RE's he didn't expect to be placed where they were and 4 times with my AR because I killed him before he could get to me :D
Its more fun to me to try that much harder and see what you can get away with....'ol Michael Epic, combat logi and CQC monster days are dead...now I lurk in the shadows on the map and just mess around and see what bs I can get away with lol |

Mind if I steal your suit (but name it Ghost of a chance) if I end up starting my own YouTube series soon?
I'm thinking of making a series called UnorthoDUST where I highlight playstyles that aren't super viable but still somewhat viable and fun to use ie. PLC+Flaylock, Demo-Logi, things like that.

well i havnt ever relased my serious demo-logi fits :P some aspects are a bit obscure but nessesary and due to the potency they once had i just never wanted that to be the new meta so ive kept tight lipped about fits...
all you need to know is that done right you run out of nanohives rather quickly and you always have backup remotes (a second set on a different trigger)
making only the minmatar and gallente logis viable
the sucess of it was originally very dependant on how well you could predict your oponents though, if you could predict that flux you won the engagement, if you could predict the next bottleneck you could setup pre-traps that dont give away your intent etc etc etc.the key has always been predicting where your oponent will be LONG before they get there and using your gun as a means of forcing them into position rather than as a killing tool itself (i used to run only a toxin smg even on proto to save fitting space)

Funny thing that happened yesterday.
A Minmatar logistics tried to run down stairs in the Gallente Research facility and he didn't know I had two Complex Kinetic Catalyzers on my Gallante Assault ;)
Ran down so fast he got scared and started spazzing out lol

So there I was in domination last night on the map with "A" in the basement with the supply depot, right? I got down in the thick of it....drove an LAV all the way down into the basement (yes, it can be done) and was killed instantly when I got there (which yes, I admit was stupid)
But once I got back in there....I laid two remote explosives, got two....came out from the round hall on the other side, up the stairs, out to the right and turned the corner and then dropped 2 remote explosives through the window....
+10 kill streak, which getting the previous two kills by chance = 12 kill streak with remote explosives. 10 in a row though....they were all standing right there under that window boom! boom! boom!
That's how you still trap 'em today! |

Even better? Find a proto stomping corp coudhcoiu*nyain1uprainbowmurphy*couchcouch inside of ambush. When they are all spawning in one big group throw RE all over the place. WIN

However, the most I had ever gotten was 8 with one remote explosive trap! So last night when I literally got 10 raspberries with TWO remote explosives...THAT was awesome lol I'd never gotten that many before! Its taken me two years to get 10 kills in one shot with remote explosives haha
Imagine if you could bump out the entire team in one shot....smart deploy my ass lol |

Just **** the heavy off with a round of smg, after taking a few hits from his water sprinkler gun, run away like you're scared. Place an RE out of sight on a corner, and when he gets swoops in for the kill, jump and detonate them, killing the heavy and looking badass.

Epic moment last night....with that theory. So since I've been playing this game I've noticed that literally ALL the maps have dual entry points...except I FINALLY found one that literally has only ONE entry point to upstairs! HALLELUJAH! Finally, right?
So I booby trap the hallway and sit on the stairs waiting....sure enough, here comes 'ol boy with a cloak but I see his shimmer and he's moving QUICK! Tap my RE's, boom!
So I see a heavy hacking the objective which is literally right around the stairs...he stops hacking and opens fire on me with his HMG....things are looking bleak!
I death frisbee'd him lol I try so hard not to do that but the objective I was defending was our ONLY hacked objective! I feel like the death frisbee aspect of RE's are kind of shady but I did it anyway lol
it landed, I triggered it...BOOM! Heavy dead.
