My ps3 is on its last leg. Its had the ylod for months now and have been abusing by jump starting it because I don't wanna buy a new one. Anyway.

I want to buy the new super slim 12 GB. Does anyone have this ps3 and if so does it fit dust and could possibly fit YouTube, crunchyroll and Netflix and maybe also be able to run GTA V on disc? I ask because I've read that it can hardly play some games because of memory issues.

 Any feedback will be appreciated.

I had one. Sounds like that would all fit. I did however have massive problems with Dust 514. Switching to a Slim ps3 fixed my issues with dust. I believe its the flash memory built into the 12gb's motherboard that causes the problems with Dust. So if your going super slim I would say go with the 250gb (or whatever it is exactly) or the bigger one.

I got the 500 gig, I'd suggest that, the 12 gig will run dust and hold apps just fine. Don't expect to play Destiny or any other high performance game smoothly if at all.

Well then I might buy a used Slim instead then. I just don't want it to break down in a year. Meh. Thanks

if you are really worried about space why not reuse your old HDD? Its going to reformat the HDd but you can always backup to a external before replacing the HDD. personally i like the piano ps3

No it will not work well, HD in any device start functioning improperly if you "clog it up" near the max, if it's 15% or less empty space on a HD that size, I'd start worrying about performance issues.

If you can do it, there is probably a youtube tutorial explaining how and showing. I'd just youtube it.

Buy a PS4. More worth it then getting another PS3 for dust and i think this year is the last one where you can expect half decent games for it. After that its just downhill in a barrel.

It's bad.. It makes noise, overheats like a fat gun running track, and isn't worth a penny.

Quick side note: GTA V doesn't run on the disc. If it's not installed to the HD, it will auto-install itself to it.

But it looks like you made a good decision.
