Warlords 1.0 patch notes includes this statement (http://dust514.com/news/blog/2015/01/warlords-1.0-overview-patch-notes/):
* A high threshold of diminishing returns has been added to the Skill Points calculation formula to prevent exploits.
Can anyone expound on that?
I'm not an exploiter, but to what exactly does this apply? Vehicle damage? Uplink spawns? Installations hacked? |

All warpoints will eventually hit a "ceiling" where they won't award as much SP/ISK. It's quite high, I think. We're talking 3k - 4k, if I can recall.

If you go over the acceptabe WP amount for a match (such as 7,000+ WP in a match; ridiculous) you'll be getting less and less SP perWP after the ceiling.
Make sense?

It's a certain amount within a certain time. I think it's like, 900 WP+/minute. Once you start hitting that you start getting less and less rewards. Was a change imposed by Greyscale a long time ago.

Sniper range nerf did nothing but make it harder to counter-snipe redliners. That and open up for really stupid feedback

How sure are you that they went with Greyscale's idea? This thread from Rattati seems to hint at what I described earlier.

And that one time I played logi where there were two squads on both sides. (I've never had my needle out so often since)

Because Greyscale was the elite veteran Eve Online programmer who implemented it. I mean, don't get me wrong, they can change it... but Greyscale was usually pretty good about making what he proposed into the game. I'm really not that worried about it, honestly. The only reason people even knew about the diminishing returns in the first place when Greyscale implemented it was because one of the Ancient Exiles vets was doing -REALLY GOOD- one match and accidentally hit the ceiling because they set it too low.
If that player had never done it, we'd never even know the ceiling existed in the first place
There is a part of me that genuinely hopes Dust 514 fails at times.
