Does anyone use it to much effect?
Put a MCRU and enhanced scanner on a LAV and it seems to do pretty good in skirmish for patrolling the outer objectives.
How do you use he LAV other than murder taxi?

I'm slowly specing into vehicles and LAV was my first step to use some of the skills and play with the modules. Helps I got a LAV BPO with my vet pack
Has anyone built a LAV for offensive action? I have fun playing with tanks running circles around them weaving around the map and thought that with a good gunner and a pro small turrent I could really make them rage

Maybe I need to use heavy in it?
Would still blow up though....

This along with vehicle lock never being properly introduced is why I respecced out of vehicles as a whole..for me vehicles are no longer an aspect in dust (other than free wps) and they likely won't ever be again

I have occasionally driven around in a saga with 2 complex rail damage mods and an adv rail Stalk a target from a distance, find a good firing position, pop both damage mods, switch to gunner seat, attack its weak spot for massive damage
Pros:
- good range, surprisingly good damage, will give you +75 wp from most vehicles before they get cover
- Has a great "WTF" factor against dropships, average pilots tend to take too long realizing they are getting hit and take heavy damage
Cons:
- you are a sniper magnet (wear a heavy suit, preferably caldari)
- virtually anything will pop the now expensive lav before you can react while you're gunning

I have fun playing with tanks running circles around them weaving around the map and thought that with a good gunner and a pro small turrent I could really make them rage Use the Saga II, it's the only LAV worth using. Methana is a bit better than the Saga, but the Saga II is the best.
It has a built in shield hardener that doesn't use any PG/CPU and give the pre-nerf 60% damage reduction (though it has STD tier on/off timers).
My fit I like is the fitted hardener, complex shield booster, and a enh(?) 60mm armor plate. If you get hit, activate the hardener THEN the booster as the booster will restart your passive regen. Even if you get the booster glitch and don't get the hp back, it will still activate your active repair through swarms and (I believe) unmodded proto large blasters (I'm positive at least neutron), though not forges, railguns, or other alpha weapons (most of which you should be able to dodge).
Also only use small rails and never trust blueberries.
