Add Mech suits.
2 variations: Armored Mobile Installation Suit (AMIS) and it's scout variation (SAMIS)
Info:
A one man, piloted Scout Armored Mobile Installation Suit (SAMIS) developed recently is built for suppressing fire. Originally designed by Caldari Recon Corp. for reconnaissance in high stress, high danger situations, it was then converted and redesigned by Minmatar Battle Salvage to an anti-vehicle, anti-infantry mobile platform.
+15% resistance to explosives and faster than most HAVs and not as armored as an LAV with -15% resistance to non-explosive vehicle and and installation rounds. Requires Pilot suit to operate.
Weaponry:
Specifies in anti-infantry and anti-LAV. Only allowed small turrets placed on either arm. +5% bonus to small blaster and missile launcher damage
Firing:
Turrets must be activated like modules on militia and standard variations, resulting in the mech setting down and allowing for a 360 degree view of the battlefield around the mech. When positioned this way, is operated much like a standard turret installation except for the pilot being inside the mech.
Skill Tree & Benefits: *requires vehicle operation level 5 to scale past the militia variant.
Mech Operations (basic skills required to run a mech): +2% movement speed for each level *receives bonuses provided to leveling up in armor repair and shield regulation comparable to LAVs and in small turret operation.
Mech Fine Operations: Provides to ability to pivot the suit's upper structure to maneuver and aim the small turrets both lower and higher
Suit Specs and Variations:
Militia SAMIS: features the ability to carry and simultaneously use two modified light weapons rather than small turrets and is smaller and less protected than AMIS. Acts like an armored/shielded exoskeleton. Has no low slots and one high slot.
Standard SAMIS: Same specs as Militia
Advanced SAMIS: Features more armor/shield than militia variants at the cost of movement speed with 1 high and 1 low slot. Features more ammo for light weapons at the cost of clip size.
Prototype SAMIS: Features more armor/shield and upgraded movement speed, as well as having both 2 high and 2 low slots. Feature more ammo for light weapons with modified clips to reduce the hit on clip size.
Militia AMIS: features two small turret slots, one low/high slot (based on race)
Standard AMIS Same as Militia Variant, also features built in Mobile CRU for strategic spawning (only allows 10 before module deactivates (100 second cooldown))
Advanced AMIS: Allows for more armor/shield, with 1 of both high and low slots. MCRU allows for 15 spawns per activation (80 second cooldown)
Prototype AMIS: Allows for 2 high and low slots and the MCRU is always active (much like it normally is) except when no one is piloting the suit
Other info: Pilots are not 100% protected, as an enemy can access the panel in the back to 'remove' the pilot. Mech suits can be hacked and destroyed much like any installation.
Light suits can pilot the Mechs roughly, but cannot utilize the finer function of the suits, no matter what the skill level in the suits are. Pilots suits are required for full control.
The SAMIS is on leg-like runners built with speed in mind while the AMIS sits on armored legs.
The SAMIS is close to the original basic Caldari design while the AMIS is the Minmatar take on it.

We all want to see a mech of some kind in this game. +1 Seems a bit too complicated, my advice is to try to simplify it. Get some solid numbers and make a spread sheet . Rattati loves spread sheets.
In life, I have this to regret. That too often, when I acquired ISK, I did not have enough of it.

Sounds fine to me, I usually carry packed AV grenades. Should be fine with less armor than an LAV, even if it does have the explosive resistance. It just sounds like too much work. Why bother modeling it? It doesn't seem necessary.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

Just like you couldn't fit a tank through a doorway, it'll be too big. We had already thought of that, but hadn't put in OP. Thank you for addressing it :)

We aren't expecting anything out of it, it just seemed like a good idea.
P.S. Anything can happen if enough of the player base wants it to.

It doesn't have to be necessary, it just adds a fun new aspect to the game. As a side note, tell me that as a Mercenary you haven't wanted to run around in a mech suit every now and again?

As an afterthought, the MLT BPO SAMIS is supposed to have 165 hp/s on the shield recharge rate, not 965....oops..

Once we have full racial parity on current vehicles then we can start worrying about adding new vehicles.
Yes, I am aware that we'll be getting some new vehicles before we get full racial parity though they are all vehicles that we've already had in some form or another.
