I played it when it first released, then stopped.
Now I played 4 matches and realized something: I literally have no idea what the hell is going on in PC.
Who are the big players?
Any exploits from the old days still around?
What's up with people freely giving away districts?
I pay in tuna and cat nip.

biggest exploit left in PC is HMG's shooting through fences and crates. Otherwise it's just RE spam.
as for why people are giving away districts - the hell do you want us to do with them? Look at 'em?

10 is all you'll need if you have one team. anymore and you'll get stacked too often and/or burn your guys out with constant battles.
Corps now-a-days have experienced 2 years of burn outs, and have come up with solutions ranging from this concept - to pulling out entirely and letting someone else deal with it.

The only reason to even play PC now is for competitive fights.
However, after months and months of fighting the same people over and over on the same cargo hub maps makes the competitive nature of PC repetitive and stale.
The only real truth in history is that it was bloody.

Right now, people are attacking NS districts that were finally put on timers that allow American corps to attack them and field a team. Other than that, not much is happening right now. Basically, people are just waiting for CCP to implement PC changes. At that point there should, hopefully, be some interesting developmemts.

No point in treating PC like a galactic RISK board anymore...
Collecting land and expanding territory used to mean something...
PC corporations would pool their ISK and divide out their winnings in the old days...
Now Individuals get paid from CCP... Investments are often made by singular Entrepreneurs in corporations with decent PC talent.
it is about farming wins for payouts now... not about a group effort end game mode..
PC is just lame and boring as a general concept with the nerfs and changes to it's relevancy... It's about having 16 people you know to play with against another 16... The whole "PC" thing is completely lost under the atomic haze left from the last nerf bomb. |
