I like to fly a dropship with a mCRU around the map to help get to objectives, usually in skirmish, domination has much more concentrated AV, and in ambush I dont think you should be using vehicles.
MY main question is why does it seem like so many people are reluctant to spawn in a Dropship? I could fly around the map for 5 minutes and get a single spawn, I'm not trying to farm points or anything but I like flying dropships and doing this is alot of fun for me and can be rewarding if it goes well.
Is there any certain fit or way I should fly the community wants?

Theres the fit I most often use.

Because there a glitch that if you don't bleed out you can't spawn in the D's so it faster to spawn elsewhere trust me if that wasn't the case I'll would gun all day.
I am a calmando.I will fight for Caldari faction warfare even if 15 members are redline snipers I'll be fighting.

There are several reasons why people don't like to use mCRUs: - the pilot might be a total moron/learning to fly, so might just crash immediately upon spawning - the mCRU might not be in the place you want to spawn by the time the countdown has finished - the vehicle might be under attack/show more enemies present than anticipated - uplinks tend to be far more reliable as far as location is concerned, and this is really the biggest issue.
Essentially, uplinks make uncoordinated use of an mCRU pretty much obsolete.

Get good because mCRUs really shine in factional warfare.

Thanks for the info guys, and yeah one game i had like 900 WP halfway through, but sadly i usually just get a few stray spawns, also, Ive leanred blueberries dont make the best of gunners but when you go like 15m's from the enemy they usually get the message and start shooting or they get shot out.
I remember I had one game were my gunner was great, the second he saw any sort of swarm launcher he dropped em before they could fire there second clip, probably because they were just randoms using std swarms.

For your fit, ditch the scanner and hardener and put on an AB and heavy plate instead. The AB makes it easier to GTFO and the plate gives you better defenses without having to worry about cool down.
Honestly, it's better to have dedicated gunners in your squad rather than relying on blueberries. They can tell you to move to a certain spot and you can help point out enemies and tell them where they are.
