So after a year I have decided to give it another go. I missed the Dust theme.
What do I feel changed? Literally nothing. No... I mean, except the locked "Team Fortress 2" boxes.
Proto stomping is still happening, tanks everywhere, red line sniping, kinda outdated graphics (I don't care about that one much but the resolution seems low, however). NO TRADING? How freaking hard was this to implement? Are you scared that the pitiful income that you have will diminish even further by adding an interesting feature into your game that can make people feel like they are welcome here and not bound by the F2P crap scheme that makes a player a single unit unable to interact with anybody else beyond the missions? Hell, if you connected Eve market with this one it would be an absolute blast.
I am glad the swam launchers are buffed (or they feel that way at least). RR is still OP AR feels a bit better, don't know if you buffed it or its cos I spent my accumulated points on it My guild is DEAD. Nobody logged on in months, and it used to be something big.
Same bugs: sound glitches after the end of the battle sometimes, game always freezes for a few seconds during the first spawn, Repair tool aiming still loses its target and it takes a lot of time to put it up again And many more.
So did devs retract their "We are abandoning this ship" statement? Because that would be interesting, even though they can't even make this game work any more.
I was always puzzled by the incompetence of the Devs, really. I mean, most games sell because of their advertising, hype, this amazing exciting look, fairly frequent updates and above all - quality of service (although this does not apply to any Ubisoft or EA games). How hard would it be to actually improve a few things that you left unchanged for 2 years? Eve to Dust interaction is still exactly the same, isn't it? I don't even have to guess. The most annoying thing is that nobody even knows about this game. When was the last time you asked another gamer about Dust and had the following conversation?
-Do you play Dust? -Rust? nah -No, Dust 514, that fps in Eve setting -What? Never even heard of it -You should give it a go -Nah, I'm playing Titanfall/Destiny/Battlefield/ANY OTHER GAME right now.
So even though I actually tried to bring 10 people into this game, I can't, because you slapped a "this game is lame" label on yourself a long time ago.
Ok, so when will we have trading like in Eve? Hm... When will you add ANYTHING that is going to improve the gameplay?
It takes you months to adjust a few numbers on a weapon!! And that's your "job done". Really guys? You literally just do that. Nerf/buff a weapon and take 2 months off (or more). Wow...
Will anything be different after I come back in another year? Perhaps another weapon will be a Fotm and you will add NOTHING still. |

In a whole year?
I don't think Rail Rifles were available January '13. See, I would've tried to be nice and tell you how much this game has changed (in terms of balancing and few gameplay additions), but you just HAD to exaggerate and not give us a proper time frame.
Good day, sir. |

Go away then, I don't care about your little "if you didn't do x I'd tell you". Either tell me or say nothing.
Good day.

In the most polite way possible OP, you should check the Features & Discussions threads, as well as the Trello roadmap. It details exactly what's coming up, and Player Trading is the biggest thing coming Imo, closely followed by personal Warbarges.
All these digs at graphics, op weapons, gaming styles etc, irritates me. I've been redlined, I've been protostomped, I've been outnumbered by tanks, but all of these are so easy to get around. First two, switch to mlt or Frontline suits, no isk loss but still getting sp. As for tanks, they are so easy to avoid it's laughable.
