Ok, this is a topic im pretty sure no one talks about much. In Dust I am an Ammar heavy and i`v noticed you are nerfing heavys more and more. If not the base stats then the HMG.
CCP saying " Here it's more a problem of having the other HMGs performing too well at range (which is a source of many other balance issue). First nerf the range of the other HMGs and keep this one as it is to see if it becomes useful or not". This is basically saying that they are planning to nerf the range even more.
Listen CCP, you have completely lost the core fundamentals of the game being balanced. A light suit is not expose to go 43/3 in a match. A heavy should not get killed that fast. Also a logi should not have less armor and shield than a scout. Youve got it all backwards CCP.
This graph below will list the problems/ and solutions I can think of to improve the heavys overall performance. If this does not work i will repost.

I run heavy as well. Galllente and Amarr. I think our health is fine, but the HMG is nothing what it used to be. I remember being able to mow down anything in my path, now I'm lucky to pick up a few kills before having to retreat. Just not enough damage.
I'm a try-hard, because half my team sits in the MCC.

Yes i agree, but it it is clear their just going to nerf the HMG again. So the only solution would be to buff the base stats. Responding to #4

I actually agree with your proposed stats aside from the turn speed thing. All suits should have the same turn speed.
I feel like a higher bullet damage would negate some of the hit detection issues caused by lag and bad code and allow the weapon to actually be balanced. |

Also I think if done right these numbers would probably total up to a nerf but make it function like it is suppose to. In my opinion nothing should come with in 10m of a heavy while being directly in front of it and survive.
If you run straight at a scout with a shotgun in a scout and he gets the first shot off you likely will not survive.
If a scout runs straight at a heavy even when the heavy gets the first shots off it is really a coin flip on who will win. A heavy with great gun game can be destroyed by a scout with mediocre strafing skills and it is not balanced at all.
If a heavy allows a scout to get behind him he should and probably will die which is exactly how this aspect needs to stay which is why I am against any changes to turn speed.

The stupid is so strong, my brain was just vaporized.
This would be like me saying "Buff Minmitar assaults, they are bad right now, heavies shouldn't get more than 10 kills a match because they should sit in one spot and not move. Minmitar assaults are weak right now because the combat rifle got a nerf to its profile, so i suggest buffing it to 87 damage per bullet, and RoF being kept the same for balance sake. Also, I think assaults should have the base HP of a sentinel. To balance this, our melee damage should be reduced."
I would obviously want something like that (JK no i wouldn't), but the massive disruption of balance it creates is not worth satisfying my personal desires, therefore, I don't suggest it. You on the other hand have no such qualms, and thus should be laughed out of this community.

damage is fine range is fine the real problem i find is that the HMG only deals damage when the target is in the tiny little dot in the dead center of the bigger circle even if a red dot is partially in the bigger circle no damage is being delt to it. i have had scouts ****** strafe from one end of the circle to the other and only take damage when in the dead middle.

Ohh.. im sorry this is a forum and i can post anything i want. And im not arrogant, gallentes are not the best heavy, therefore having less armor and low slot. But having more shield and high slot. I tried to balance everything out the best i could. Thats why i have you guys to give feedback. Not to insult my " grammar" Then calling me fake, then saying my work is legit. You're not sure of yourself are you.

I took my time to see ur numbers and let me tell u that they are all over the place.. I am a heavy master, I love the sentinels but what u are asking isn't that good. Armor rep goes to gallente Speed to minmatar Shield tank caldari Armor tank amarr Those things have to be followed correctly and not taking it to one easy clicking skill of just giving numbers.
If I had to buff heavies I would do the next things
1. Amarr are main issue for their obscene amount if hp so I would change it into a 2high 3 low 2. I as much I would buff 100 hp to sentinels 3. We need an awesome tweak for that minmatar sentinel, I would increase its shield regeneration like 25 would be good, I would change shield and armor, the funny thing about it is that min sent is supposed to be shield tanked but it has more armor, I would swap those numbers and increase it some extra shield... Not to much like 20 or 30 plus 4. Hmg overheating is horrible if u have to fight against a reped heavy or multiple targets so I would reduce it a bit, with that maybe we don't really need the 1, 2 and 3 steps.... That assault hmg really needs some love
The intention is "good" but take ur time to really think ur numbers because many will just call u in many funny ways and they won't hear u. After all the community hates sentinels. I have never felt like they were OP but looks like many think that they are. I used to fight heavies with 1300 armor hp every day in beta, I lived the most crazies HMGs damages and things like that, so I can say that in 1.8 heavies were good, but not everyone thinks in that way.

Dust 514 is a futuristic game right? Then why does the minigun fall so short of what we actually have available right now?
