I believe cloaks should be more like those that are in eve, instead of the current mechanics.
I think it would be better to have cloaks that work like the ones in eve online like you could be invisible until you get so close to an enemy or an enemy gets too close to you maybe about 5-10 meters or so depending on the lvl of the module
The times seem fine to me but if you're cloaked I don't think you should be able to be scanned down other then by passive scans
I only played a little of eve online so I dint get to into all the spec ops ships and advanced cloaks and all but I think that system worked better then that of the one in dust
I want to hear from any of you that have played with all the spec ops ships and cloaks in eve online and how it could be implemented into dust
one last thing It would be a great help if there was a forums or something were eve online and dust players could congregate and come up with ideas of how to make the games seem more relevant to each other |

I have been cloaked moving and gotten sniped. Certainly defeats the purpose of being cloaked.
And by snipe I dont mean with a sniper rifle just any weapon

I would like if it could work like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-j2JkxTA8c He's not using it, but there was a "ADV cloak" which was working when moving crouched.
Of course modified for dust use, it would be enough if it only activates if you are not running.
Cloak if standing still or walking with animation, de-cloak when sprinting or shooting without animation.
Situational awareness also known as passive scan.

this is because you shimmer when moving which I agree it does defeat the purpose, your're better off sticking to shadows then being cloaked
the only time you are invisible completely is when you don't move but even then you can still be marked by crosshairs |

The only problem i have seen with the cloak is that the shotgun was the only thing abused with the cloak. now there is an incredibly long delay that prevents stealth knife kills. minja all the way
Life sucks sometimes, much like Dust 514.

I don't agree with this because of the fact that shooting from cloak was the cause of the delay in switching equipment but if there was a way to mark your target before moving out of cloak then shooting I think that would be ok maybe |

In EVE you have a true cloak... You ain't seeing a cloaked ship period.... Your only hope to detect it is proximity...
At no point in DUST are you ever fully cloaked. I can pick stationary cloaked scouts out...
Not to mention the cloak just received a massive nerf.. It isn't even good for offense anymore. It's a strictly defensive item that anyone with headphones can counter. |

In EVE, a non-cov ops type ship moves slow while cloaked and can't warp while cloaked. I like the idea of decreasing scout suit movement and no sprinting while cloaked. Then have 10m decloak. I'd prefer more distance due to server lag so that it effectively becomes 10m.
Then change the commando suit to a light suit with dual sidearms akimbo and make that the cov ops, ninja style suit that gets a bit of a bonus to cloak use within the above parameters.
I'm better than laser focused; I'm hybrid focused.
