Caldari Commando with A rail rifle is as useless as a Amarr Commando with a ScR.
Amarr Commando ScR overheats before you kill anything Caldari Commando RR has a mind of it's own and thinks it's 4th of July and starts shooting the sky before you kill anything.
No wonder Caldari Assaults/ Scouts/ Commandos run Combat Rifles and Assault Rifles. CCP served the Caldari a Hot Turd on a shiny plate when they nerfed the RR into obliteration.

I hate to say it, but with all times I've fallen to RRs (in tanked adv and 'neo'proto assault fits) in under 5 seconds, the RR seemingly has no debilitating weakness. I've started referring to most of my fits as rail rifle munitions depositories. |

Yes, the RR still kicks like a mule, but, if memory serves, it's delay was shortened a bit the last time it was touched.
Have you tried the ARR? I think you'll like how it compares to the CR and AR.
And, FWIW, I was one of the loudest voices against the RR nerfs. Alas, its overuse and overperformance were tough to argue against, but I do feel the wrong mechanic (ADS kick & charge up time) was nerfed in response....and the resulting decrease in usage and effectiveness was precipitous (and perhaps intended/necessary). |

this is because of modded controller or turbo switch users, it basically negates the kick on any weapon and a lot of losers use it because they have no gun game |

... You cant use modded controllers on a rail rifle.
The thing has way too much kick right now in ADS, not sure why they made it this bad but (Im totally fine with the hipfire kick being bad, but the ADS should be good, its a long range weapon and it should perform very well in ADS). Right now its by far the worst rifle in the game.

It needs a reduction in kick while ADS, thats it. Even the spool time is not that big of an issue in terms of balance, but not being accurate at range is rediculous. It's supposed to be accurate at range & weak in CQC, it is currently weak at both but still somehow one of the best rifles in the game.
Unless we are talking values for ADS kick we should move on to a constructive topic. How to nerf the combat rifle comes to mind. It's too accurate beyond it's effective range. A sharper damage drop-off is in order.
Have you considered a career in costumed aggression?

I use it on Gal As, Cal Scout, and Gal Logi. Works quite well for me, and certainly much better at CQC than the RR.
I don' t have the calmando, but my impression from listening to those that have used the suit, is that it generally sucks.
What weapon do you like on it?

i been saying to have the Cal Assault get a scoped kick reduction skill for RR's instead of its reload one. that way it tailors the suit to its peticular weapon just as the others do and also helps seperate it from the commando and they're too similar.
the commandos are mainly for the assault variant of the rifles, they'r enot supposed to be overly great with their wepaons but get a little more damage as compensation

Disagree about commandos, you can use the breach assault rifle perfectly fine with the Gal Comm, why shouldnt the Cal Comm be able to have a usable breach rail rifle (aka rail rifle)?
The weapon is just bad right now, it needs fixing somehow to make it good at something. A change to the Cal Assault bonus (and I do think it needs to be changed to something more fun/better) isnt going to fix the fact that the weapon is just trash for everyone else right now. |
