I'd highly recommend to get the Amarr assault skill as high as possible for the bonuses, even if you decide to not use the advanced suit.

Yes, but every time you level something up you have to hop from corp to corp.

I like the Amarr assault, but it does lock you into using an SCR. If you like the SCR, you should get your Amarr assault to 5. If the SCR is not for you, I'd go with the gal assault for a similar feel.

If you like the ScR, then yes, otherwise, I'd find one of the other assault suits that plays to your preferred weapon (i.e. AR=Gal, CR=Min, RR=Cal). |

This, although, if you're not going to use laser weaponry, then go for another suit. The Amarr is too slow, but hey if you're looking to armor tank it and fit it with an ARR go right ahead! |

What are you talking about? Everyone should learn to appreciate everything that is Amarr. If they all embraced our ideals so readily, then they might not even be slaves by now.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

There's also the laser rifle... with level 5 Amarr assault and 3 or 4 proficiency with the laser rifle, I can even melt through most armor heavies in one single beam to overheat. It also just fits my playstyle to engage people at range and I stay out of close quarters best as I can. But I still have my SMG to switch to if I do get in close quarters combat.
