IGÇÖm not sure if this is by design but why MLT and basic suits have lower base health than their counterparts? ThereGÇÖs been a lot of talk about NPE and how to make it better and I think that giving them at least the same base health would be a good start.
I noticed the discrepancy when I made the Frontline starter fit for my character again. I wanted to see how effective I can be in it and was quite surprised to see its health so much lower than other suits. I know MLT is supposed to be less effective but lower health makes no sense. MLT and basic suits are where new players start from.
The stats for GAL assault suits (max skills):
Gallente Medium Frame Shield 120 (150) Armour 210 (262) eHP 330 (412)
Gallente Assault Shield 155 (194) Armour 275 (344) eHP 430 (538)
The frontline starter fit for Gallente has a total eHP of 506 with max skills (415 without them?) and I think it would greatly benefit from having the same base health as the other suits. IGÇÖm sure this is true for all the races.
I donGÇÖt blame new players for not stay long when they are given such low health. IGÇÖm not saying bricking it is the only way to survive, no. I donGÇÖt brick tank any of my suits but for new players that is not a lot of health at all. Most guns chew through that in seconds.

Thats the point of them. They aren't meant to be equal to a specialized suit but they are cheaper then the specialized version and can be a good starting point for discovering a role. But new players do deserve some more attention definitely.

But they aren't cheaper. They cost more. ...unless they changed that.
But that is besides the point. ISK cost couldn't have such a huge impact on power, or it would become reasonable to say PRO weapons should do 20x more damage than Militia ones.

That's the price of getting something specialized SP cost or something not specialized. It is just about skill points invested

I'm a big advocate of the notion that militia should bde viable and honestly, it's not currently. There's a reason using basic medium and militia frames is frowned upon- they're awful and don't even offer a decent amount of survivability most of the time.
Militia suits definitely need some love in my opinion, the militia medium amarr and minmatar suits are awful if I remember correctly.. and the caldari is not as bad, but still not where it should be I think, while the gallente is the only one with decent slots and survivability, it's like an STD assault without a high slot and less fitting room last time I checked.
It'd be nice if the suits were similiar to the gallente, like an assault with less fitting and one less slot basically.
Please ignore the text above, I half-heartedly wrote it to curb my boredom.

They could also go through the fittings and revamp the modules used to match Thier races play style better

Namely because part of the Assault Role involved a more direct style of combat (opposed to the more indirect Logistics) and thus has more HP in order to fulfill this role. Frame suits by design should fill the middle ground between these roles. As such I imagine the Frame suit would equal or more base HP than the Logistics but not to exceed that of the Assault. Additionally the Frame suit should also feature 2 Equipment (and probably all Logistics a minimum of 3) in order to have more support ability than the Assault but less than the Logistics.

They wouldnGÇÖt be equal to the specialized suits even if they had the same base health. Specialized suits get bonuses, basic frames do not. And it is not a good starting point when you have to run around with considerably lower health than most suits in the field. If new players are meant to experiment with suits and try to find one that fits their playstyle at least give them the same base health.
While MLT is cheaper than the specialized variants the basic frames are not. MLT also has less slots, it doesnGÇÖt need lower health as well. Many people have already pointed out that the basic frames are useless and they truly are. Nobody should ever use these suits; the SP invested in them is wasted on your way to the specialized suits.

It shouldnGÇÖt be. Specialized suits have bonuses, isnGÇÖt that enough? Assault suit is able to fit more modules due to the bonus to CPU/PG reduction in weapons and they get a bonus to their racial weapon as well.
ThereGÇÖs no reason to have lower health on MLT and basic frames. Especially, since it is the new players that use these the most. I think they have enough disadvantages as is.

They have more hit points than the logistics suits, and a better repair rate than the assault suits. They don't cost more anymore. I think they're fine.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.
