Hey,
I'd like to bring to everyone's attention that blaster installations still don't have any (noticeable) dispersion at all. Just yesterday I used one to snipe some people off a roof at over 100 meters.
While the large blaster turret stats are terrible and shouldn't be copied, I consider it a bug that the large blaster installation has no dispersion at all. |

Agreed, installations are OP right now, I believe that all installations should have to be manned for them to shoot, but for that to happen they would need more Armor which I would not have a problem with

I don't mind the limited range automatic installations. They add to map possession, which this game needs more of ("We control this area, they control that area"). Even if that limits me as a DS-pilot a lot.
However I don't agree with bugged turret stats. A manned blaster installation is a very serious threat to everything in a 100-150 meter radius. I don't think that is supposed to be like that. |

It is supposed to be like that, when they did the changes they said they were leaving the accuracy alone in the manned blasters to make them desirable to hold.

I sure hope the current parameters were an oversight. Right now a blaster installation can be an effective deterrent at 200 meters. |

well. as an offset to the entire fact is a stationary defensive installation. makes sence to have pin point accuracy.........blaster tanks should has this back. dam av on building's/rooftop's/bunnyhopping through rounds. and Dropships sitting above you. lavs being small enough that dispersion can make you miss your killing shots or even while wearing it down. makes it a pain to make constant hits on vehicle sweet spots........blaster tanks really need some love.
anyway back on topic. the blaster installation is supposed to be pin point accurate BECUASE IT IS STATIONARY. needs a benefit.
oh hey look a proto squad of infantry......................and their gone.

It would be nice if controlling turrets was a big thing, I think they should auto attack infantry if looking directly at them within a set range...
As it stands though, they have 2 purposes. They either give 50 wp for being hacked by someone they're no threat to... Or they force me to go around and down them with my missile tank before I can go wherever I please.
Also, sick of redzone turrets, people sit safe on them the whole match, with little to no counter if they know what they're doing.
Red turrets should only be able to shoot things that cross into the redzone. |

They made the statement that they would be a higher priority to troops when they buffed them in 1.9 I think. They do have considerable dispertion if they had more they would be truly useless. They aren't intended to be anti vehicle alone that's why we have swarms, forges, and av grenades. Everyone has complained about every weapon on the game to get nerfs and buffs so now a ll we have left are scr's, combat rifles and min assaults and scouts with remotes. Tankers and ads pilots saw to it most av is us less, scouts and assaults saw to it the hmg being rendered useless, and heavies whine about getting scr'ed and rail rifles. I think everybody needs to quit complaining about what weapon kills them to CCP and the "elected ones". Then maybe CCP and the "elected ones" would be able to focus on the other problems that the game has, myself I think the "elected ones" have let us down more than they have helped us as far as gameplay is concerned. They seem to only help their corps. and alliance members with the inside info. For example flavor of the month, ever wonder how certain corps always seem to run it first? No matter what it is, and always within a few weeks before any announced buff. Then the same corps seem to stop using it weeks before any announced nerf. If you have the info they are part of you have weeks of heads up to build up the sp you need to instantly level 5 which isn't much of a problem for us vets, but it is for the new player. That's the reason we all fight the same players day in day out, no new ones coming in for more than a few days then they quit. Most vets have left for other games or ps4 namely because of the no fix attitude this game has became famous for. In most cases THE WEAPON ISN'T THE PROBLEM, IT IS YOUR SKILL LEVEL. Whether it is character skills or limitations of the player and we have lots of players that have no skill we all know the turbo scrubs and the lag switchers. And I personally call them out in game mail but I think there should be a forum wall of shame for them. |
