Is there any color that would look better than red?
Green maybe?
Black? I think black would be best.
Grey?
Blue?
Not red please. It's to bright and obvious

Green's taken (sentinels)
Black's taken (proto suits, can be mistaken for one)
Blue's taken (scouts)
Grey's awful
Red camo patterns would be nice.
I may not have a mic, but trust me, you NEED me in your squad if you want to win.
When I'm on a roll, I'm unstoppable.

...Red is also the color of my favorite battlesuits (which I have noticed seem to roll higher on thrust moves than my ochre ones)...
But Red does seem a bit out of place on a "Commando" suit, maybe it needs to be darkened/muted
Khanid Logi and Tanker, sometimes AV Heavy or Sniper.
I believe all these roles are support for front line soldiers.

How about camo? Camo can go. Make it green to represent heavies (just like Sentinals) and red spots and stuff. They are COMMANDOS after all

I don't know, I sorta enjoy my red, wannabe Hulkbuster Gallente Commando. And I thought camo is mostly for Aur suits?

Ku Shala wrote:why are roles colour coded? shouldnt each race just have a colour scheme? I want my militia to match..... Because they use the same art assets for more than one role: Sentinels/Commandos, Assault/Logi.
Ideally there would be slight differences in the models (Logi having larger backpacks and more pouches etc...) but DUST does not have the developer assets to do that now, and even when DUST did have a full Dev team they priorities new stuff over suit differentiation. So the only thing that can be easily changed to differentiate roles is the color.
Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

The better question is why have all the races color coded their suits to correspond with the other races classes.
CCP holds the Caldari's hand so this doesn't happen again.

This. It allows you quickly visually identify what you're shooting at.
