I've always thought that one of my corps tankers who I've played with for ever, Lafayette Adair was one of the better tankers in the game.
However, I'm pretty sure that most corps think that of their #1 tankers too. There's even some self proclaimed tank legends such as Maximus Mobius.
With all of that in mind, I will be putting together a tournament bracket (collaborating with Silver Strike44 to record the 1v1's all the way through) for tankers to 1v1 their way up the ladder for the prospect of an ISK prize (minimum 50M-100M ISK, potentially more if there is enough interest to add an entry fee).
I have not yet thought out how I will structure the ISK of it, but I will subsidize a percentage of the prize from my own wallet, as well as possibly add a small ISK entry fee to be added to the pool, depending on if there's any interest from the tankers in here.
I will NOT be taking any percentage of anything to take for myself, all ISK transfers will be made public knowledge - this is purely for the entertainment value of some competitive fun, and to provide incentive to take part.
Layout will be a traditional 1v1 pyramid tournamet bracket using a tournament generator to decide to matches who.
If you have any interest, reply here or in game and I will add you to the list. Additionally, if you know of a tanker you would like to see fight, write their name here and I will add them in if I'm able to contact them.
Once I see if there is any interest in this, and how much there is, I will post up an official bracket with names, and begin recording and uploading the 1v1's.

Funny thing is I taught Death. Plus now I've shaken off my rust & gotten back to Destroyers. Its good to 5 shot a installation nowadays.

Maybe when blitz and storm stop being scrubs and PC more often this would be interesting but now they are to rusty.

This phase is primarily to get the attention of the tankers hanging around, after that we will go over rules/restrictions that need to be in place in order to keep things fair, as well as entertaining.
