I've been using the ScR on my assault class and I want a sidearm that sh*ts on armor. SMG is out of the question.

Assault? I'd go SMG.....but out of question. BP kills me more than Magsec, but I prefer the Magsec when I use it. That said, I'd still take the BrScP even if I were going against armor over either the Magsec or BP. But that's just me.
Have you considered the Flaylock? |

I might just have to try it out. I skilled into it on an alt a few months back, but rarely got kills with it. Although it has been buffed right? If so than hopefully I'll have a better time using than I did last time.

What situations are you most likely to pull your sidearm? Is your intent to switch to your sidearm immediately after the shields drop from your ScR? Do you see yourself using it to dig out in CQC more?
The sidearms you refernce both have qualities that are situational.
Magsec for spray & pray and multi-enemy engagements.
Bolt Pistol for more calm/cool/collected circumstances.
IMHO, Breach SMG is where its at! I've had only limited enjoyment from either of your choices and i tried hard...REALLY HARD to like the magsec.
Have you considered a career in costumed aggression?

I was a long time smg user (i have toxin bpo) and just got bored of it. Do what i did and skill into all of them. Magsec is ok but your best bet is one of the high damage slo rof joints (bp,brscp etc)

For your scrambler, i'd recommend a magsec because its strengths lie in areas outside the scramblers usual operation area.
Decent cqc to mid range sidearm with a damage similar to an ar with roughly 75% rof that is armor based.
A tripple sidearm damage modded, completely maxed out kalakioota magsec can put out like 50 damage against armor PER BULLET up to 40 mtrs with ease. Really fun to stack damage mods and dual sidearm wield on an assault.
While slow to anger and occasionally indecisive, they are also capable of harnessing enormous resolve when truly tested.

I tried dual bolt pistols, just headshots...oh the shots i would land were OHK
the headshots i would land on heavy suits scared the living **** out of them...500 or so armor down in 1 shot
