How come there are no short statured clones? They would have the advantage of being a small target.
Male & female, but no midgets? Seriously? |

I believe clones arent all the exact same like in star wars, every individual player gets cloned. ( i think )

Dwarfism, the most common form being achondroplasia, is pretty much a death sentence for a soldier
Symptoms of achondroplasia...
- Large head with a prominent forehead: a giant "shoot me" sized dome. You are going to be handing out headshots left and right.
- Curvature of the lower spine: I know when I'm jumping out of an MCC hundreds of feet off the ground I want my spine to be out of sorts. No way that could end poorly. Nope.
- Bowing of the legs: -20% walk/sprint speed, -40% strafe speeds. Enough said.

Not to be discriminatory, but dwarfs never would have made the genetic cut to become supersoldiers.
Functionally you could probably almost replace our clones with warhammer 40k space marines and we'd *almost* come out on top sans psychic abilities. Our major advantage is that unlike Spehss Marheens, we get to transfer consciousness to new clones upon 'death'. We don't suffer from attrition like they do.

Of course there's midgets in the game. What did you think was used as a projectile in large turrets? Nothing funnier than a midget getting fired from a cannon

They also pay millions of ISK for each one, so their clones are a bit more high class.
Our clones are gray skinned and have borg-like devices sticking out of them. We have no hair. We are about 9 feet tall and built like a grizzly. Eyes are gray as well. We ain't pretty. Our clones are built for combat, and their appearance makes that obvious.

^We can and do have non-combat clones.
I really wish they'd stop messing around with the lore of the combat clones, because there are all these portrayals of them as individuals IN VIDEO where the helmet opens up to show a regular face (and that honestly makes sense because of muscle memory and reflexes and stuff... but I don't want to get *too* far into infomorph psychology) however our combat clones are functionally inseperable from their dropsuits and have all sorts of crazy enhancements. Like entirely light-weight extremely durable spacemetal skeletal structures, redundant organs, physiologies swarming with nanites that can self-repair things, extra spines for heavies, super-muscles etc.
To put it this way, in game our augmented clones have 10 hp (this is a hidden value beyond dropsuit hp, and it's why people can have 0 armor 0 shields and still live) a 'peak' non-enhanced clone / civilian might have between 2-4 hp (without the self repairing capabilities). Any commando could potentially kill between 60-120 people with one punch, without myofibrils (if there was a way of getting them all into the same space).
We scary and unlike Mokoto, we don't break easily.

Even in EVE, where there's no combat balance reason for all characters to be the same height, all characters are the same height.
