Aurum tokens were phased out from EVE Online with the Kronos expansion; however I do see them being a useful asset in Dust 514 when simple player trading is introduced. The addition of in-game ways to purchase or have AUR gifted from other players would reduce desire of players to break ToS when paying ISK for PSN card codes because of current limitations in trading options.
I request that current AUR boosters bought from the PSN add-ons menu be deposited as tokens to be activated later that are also tradedable from a player's asset window.
200,000 Token + 25,000 Direct for $99.99 100,000 Token + 10,000 Direct for $49.99 40,000 Token + 3,000 Direct for $19.99 20,000 Token for $9.99 10,000 Token for $4.99 4,000 Token for $1.99
In EVE there are understandable redundancies to having Aurum Tokens when PLEX is a tradeable asset that can also be converted to AUR. While the elimination of aurum tokes in EVE helps simplify market management both for players and CCP, there is still a loss in granular purchase options which can be useful to players getting what they want within a given budget. Arguably this loss of granular control over AUR is less important in EVE than it would foreseeably be in Dust 514 as Dust is structured as a Free-To-Play game where micro-transactions are a far more integral component to gameplay and user experience.

Would completely murder any sense of "I have to spend cash in order to ________ therefor it's pay to win" argument.
This way CCP still gets paid no matter what, and players can use ISK to buy AUR from other players.
Simple but effective. +1

@Pokey Dravon The big thing to watch out for is contract scamming, considering if all of these token options were available. That's a bit of caveat emptor and healthy meta gaming aside.

until market trading or controllable trading where you can back out of a trade if something shady happens I'd say make scamming aur tokens bannable.
EVE Online is what you get when engineers attempt to create "fun" without consulting someone who comprehends the word.

I think as long as there is a proper trade menu that follows the industry standard to prevent people from being screwed in trades (Unless they're just not paying attention) it would be fine. Obviously its just "Send money then I'll send AUR later" system, that's going to get messy quickly.

EVE is unique in being one of the very few games with deep extrinsic value. PLEX being purchasable with ISK is a big part of that.
I think adding AUR Tokens to Dust would add a lot to the game. |

Tbh I don't see the point. If simple trading makes it into the game... might aswell add aurum trades. |

Quote:Any form of scamming related to code trading is strictly prohibited and will be dealt with harshly. While it does say "code" here, as it relates simply to trading codes, this could be expanded upon to involved trades of any sort once simple trading hits.
We could use that until they add a more advanced form of player trading where both parties can trade in the same window.
I like the idea and also think that scamming AUR tokens should be bannable. +1
