one prefers close range armor brawling => requires to get close and personal aka needs stamina the other a long range combat with shield tanking => requires you to pop out of cover, shoot and hide again, aka requires you to strafe only and short bursts of speed to get from cover to cover.
why do both races have identical stamina/movement values considering their favored fighting doctrine? imho gallente suits should have better stamina values than caldari.
this is something that always confuses me when looking at the suits stats... |

You should've phrased the thread title better, Caldari gear lobbyists will feel slighted and persecuted, they'll be coming in here fighting some imaginary war with Gallente faction loyalists. |

It always ed me how Gallente and the Caldari suits mirror each other sideways.
Both have same crap stamina and same base eHP stats.
If I remember something from people that discuss Eve here (I may be wrong in this) but Gallente and Caldari are more EWAR based in Eve right?
Now on Dust, Gallente are CQC fighters while Caldari are Long ranged fighters.
Give the Gallente Assault a slighy reduction on it's profile dampening base stat while giving the Caldari a scan precision with the same number as the newly added Gallente Assault profile dampening base stat (also add a little bit of range on the Caldari)
This would help compliment each suits game style.
Being dampened would help you out on CQC fights on your Gallente suit While on your Caldari suit you can see most enemies coming towards you from afar on your tacnet so you can down them before they reach you.
But since the Caldari will have lets say a 30 dB base scan precision and the Gallente will have a 30dB Profile dB then both numbers will collide from time to time making a fight between a Caldari suit and Gallente suit a heated battle.
I just don't like how the Amarr gets higher eHP with high stamina and good stamina regen and Minmatar while weak, they can dual tank their suit while being the fastest suit in the Assault category while having good stamina and superb stamina regen.
Caldari and Gallente have medium tanking, mirrowing each other's base eHP stat but inverted while having same crap stamina.

The only problem gallente have is a combination of close range weaponry and not enough speed to get into engagement range.
This was a problem in EVE for a good long while. Blaster problems in EVE are mirrored here. Then CCP gave the gallente methods to close the gap and things levelled off.
The problem is best dealt with in the manner of people like cat merc operate. Ferroscales, kincats and some onboard reps.
EVE Online is what you get when engineers attempt to create "fun" without consulting someone who comprehends the word.

kin cats are great but between having the option to fit kin cats to improve speed OR having to fit kin cats because the suit is not able to get the most out of the racial fighting doctrine is a big difference. band aid fittings are not a solution and they gimp the suit capabilties massively. |

I think moving kincats to highs is a radical yet effective solution. The issue isn't how long they can run, but that Gallente (proper Gallente) are cut down before they can close the gap enough. With kincats in the highs, they can now equip ferroscales/reppers for a decent armor rep tank, bt also be fast enough to get in close where their blasters can do some good damage. I think of kincats like propulaion mods in Eve; afterburners and microwarpdrives. These go in the mid slots (highs for Dust) so I would logically assume kincats would too.
