what would people think if for 1 week only ccp returned all destroyed items to us at the end of battle as well as the normal payouts

its only a stomp because its usually 1 sided and players worry about losing stuff so play the defencive over offensive which stompers rely on to win. if everyone had no risk of loss everyone would be in their best regardless of cost even officer gear so they can for 1 week perform at their current maximum potential.
if people are winning they pull out more proto. if they are losing they pull out less speeding up the loss. with this event everyone can be in their best for the whole fight and push as hard as they possibly can. and with all that gear destroyed the payouts for a lot of the noobs and broke players would be a benefit.
these days isk is the only real barrier to competition. i would like for just 1 week everyone to be playing at their top level

Lol buddy it is what happens all day long, a proto teddy will always be a proto teddy, it is one opportunity for those that doesn't have money u know. I have isk to play 1 year of full proto ( or more or less) and for those that still doing proto 24/7 they still making tons of isk.
In other words nothing is charging, it is an opportunity for those that want to test officer weapons, run full proto for first time, etc.. A normal day in new eden.

This! What the flying hellish crap is the "Special Contracts" for?! Nothing has ever shown up in there as long as I've played!
Personally, I'd rather we were allowed to make our own Militia BPO instead of being given that stupid Frontline one.

having played full cost proto, isk/aur mix fits, bpo/isk mixes and now apex i know exactly what loss does to players view of the battlefield and i have seen the massive improvement a player has to their gameplay when loss is not factored in. when a player only knows loss they will not risk anything. if a player is allowed without fear of loss to see what their decent gear is actually capable of doing then maybe in the future we will have much less effective proto stomps and a much more balanced game for everyone.

Agree, but there's always ppl working about proto teddies, it is almost a deep fear or shame to many, because they can't afford their proto gear to break the a$-º Of those that full day live in a black suit with a black weapon. Until you know how it really feels, you start understanding their real weak points that every proto teddy has.

The twist is, CCP will somehow end up not be able to return the lost items at the end of the event. CCP then would probably do an accelerated x2 SP event to apologize. Many tears were had.

that negates the whole purpose of the event which is to get players playing at their maximum potential against others players playing at theirs. at the moment there are those that do and there are those that don't and that is why we get proto stomps. it is only those that don't that suffer because they are rarely allowed to play their best. restricting it to mlt gear doesn't help anyone.
