I was just flying around at a substantial altitude in my incubus. Things were calm no AV to worry about. Skies were clear. Nowhere near anything or anyone. Then out of nowhere, all my HP drops to 0 and I fall from the sky and die. Says I committed suicide. No evidence of lag. 5000 HP just gone.
WTF CCP! This has happened on a few occasions. It's like what happened to me when I slid down a hill in my gunnlogi and exploded. Do you leave a monkey in charge of running your servers?

there use to be and may still be invisible things in some places in the sky I hit one once but did not die. I know it was there because I want back to make sure I was not nuts. |

Sky walls are a *****, used to bea major problem, could have been 2 breach forge gun users, synced up. But thats rarer than a sky wall now a days.

I've had that happen to me in a tank - in the same spot on multiple occasions on different days. Seen it happen to others too. Seems to be a random self-destruct point. It could be the same sort of thing? |

This has happened to me as well, and I can confirm it was not a Null Cannon or was it any sort of synced Rail weaponry (be it a Railgun Tank, Installation, or Forge Gun). It also wasn't the edge of the map timers either as that would have instantly killed you, which didn't happen.
My experience was this: I was flying around in the Gorgon on the edge of the map, testing to see if the Raider dailies (Cover a certain distance) was doable while flying in the dropship (side note: it does not). I had been flying at ceiling height for about 3 or 5 minutes when all of a sudden my dropship started flaming. I look at the health and it drops straight to 0. I stay in the dropship to figure out what killed me...

So yeah, the Guardians from the Halo games are haunting dropship pilots.

There was actually an invisible MCC on one of the maps at one point, not sure if it's still there or not. It was funny because you could still land on it and snipe from the thing, but to anyone looking, it seemed like your merc was just floating a few hundred feet off the ground. Possibility that you hit one of these, or the game just decided to bend you over and shove its' railgun into your propulsion system... random (vehicle) deaths happen from time to time in a lot of online games, so I doubt CCP can or will ever fix them.

It's a glitch, "invisible" walls, if you destroy a tank or a derpship and enemy just pass were was destroyed in less a minute, blast!!! you are out because "crash" with the invisible destroyed tank...
Also if you reach more altitude that MCC... suddenly "crash" with the invisible sky ceiling... and bloom...
Do a test, fly a militia dropship high until exploted ! :p |
