Let's be honest here, Scouts were never meant to be I direct combat. They were to be mobile surveillance and sniper platforms and they succeeded quite well in one of these roles. Unfortunately the way snipers work in Dust 514 and idea to be mobile in punishing and just the height of folly. What we need is a scout rifle, a hard hitting, slow firing, accurate, and long range weapon.
Like say for instance... a Breach Rail Rifle?
Hypothetically speaking a bastardized hybrid between the bolt pistol and the rail rifle using the RR range, accuracy, model, scope and the BP charge mechanics and boosted damage (Basic damage starts at Proto BP levels)
We would finally have a way to keep our lowly tanked asses out of the main fight yet still dealing heavy and somewhat untraceable damage (compared to the streaks of light the the ScR produces)
Ideas? Comments? Anything?

The rail rifle already is a breach variant. You might be wanting a tactical rail rifle. From how everyone describes it (including myself) it honestly just sounds like a tac sniper that isn't ****** and worthless.

I thought a Tactical Rail Rifle would be like a less powerful, quick charging Charge Sniper.

Last I checked, Dust is a First Person Shooter and the word "assassin" still appears in the scout suit's description. To the best of recollection, I do not believe I've ever been awarded recon assist WP for sharing my passive scans. |
