I'm finally going to be building my custom PC this weekend and it will cut down the time it takes to make videos from about 3-6 hours per video to a little over 1 hour! I will also be able to edit and process at the same time, meaning creating multiple videos at once will also be possible.
This means my production rate can go up substantially and I won't feel like I'm wasting time sitting around waiting for my craptop to process the thing (at the current rate, my computer is taking up so many resources I can't do many things at once so I usually just watch anime while I wait...very unproductive). This is part of the reason for my lack of motivation for even wanting to make them in the first place.

And saxxonmish is a way better player than I will ever be (seriously, that guy makes my gameplay look embarrassing)
We lack more in-depth content that would help both new players and veterans alike, so I am proposing three different projects that I'm interested in:
Dust Weapons / Dust Suits / Dust Equipment etc.
For this I want to look at specific items in the game and give brief descriptions of them, or do general comparisons of a certain group of items (such as assault variants of rifles, which heavy suit should you spec into, that sort of thing).
These would be shorter videos with more of them in total, but a lot of it would be very objective stuff and not so much gameplay.
Legion Weekly
Exactly as it sounds, I will go over all of the information we know so far about Legion, as well as discussing my own personal opinion on certain feedback/idea threads that have been saved in the Legion GD subforum. As a weekly series, I will only have one video out per week, but each one will hopefully help start some hype for what might be a "perfect" version of Dust 514.
The big downside to this one is that while it has the most latent potential, we are not even entirely sure that Legion is even something that will be completed. More info will possibly come out of the round tables at this year's Fanfest, but as far as we know CCP seems to want it to be hidden for a while.
Dust 514 Video Guide/Tutorial
Based on this text guide from Musta Torinas (yes I already got his permission), I will simply make a series of up-to-date videos that go over the core concepts of Dust 514, as well as some of the new features introduced in the most recent iterations of Dust.
Aside from being very useful for new players, I don't really see this being something that people will enjoy as much as other types of videos. These would also take the most time for me to create (a lot of planning and development of scripts, etc), and I really don't want to see my effort wasted if the community (mainly veterans) would want to see something else.

solo play tactics, honestly alot of the community play solo and its rarely touched on.
i know squads and corps is where you should be looking for serious play, but i like many just like to get on and have a few rounds without all the drama of random crap talk and waiting for matches. |

Yeah, I think if you were really informative, and went into some depth you would get alot of views. Try to even cover any tips n tricks, advantages and disadvantages of suits, vehicles and terrain etc. And of course show those big battles. I look forward to watching. |

Weapon Highlight Videos.... Where it is donel like alot of other games... Where we actually get all the statistics...
The range differences in damage... The TTK, DPS... Statistics gone through..
What the gun works good with and suits it fits well on.
Scanning and Tac-Net Tutorials... Teaching players about the basics of scanning and scanners... Passive scanning... Dampening.. The Math and numbers behind it... |

I would suggest making videos that go in depth regarding bonuses and almost game mechanic you can think of that is currently in Dust.

Legion weekly update would resemble this with as much information. I mean, we went ape s*** over 4 seconds of footage in John Wick because it was the most we had heard of Legion since FanFest.
For the new player, if they exist, the concepts of skill points. It may seem utterly hopeless to join a game where people have 40+ million more SP than you but an explanation of "Growing Wider, Not Taller." IE, "It costs about 6-10 million to be Prototyped in a single role. After that amount, no role is getting any better." Still daunting but it is a surmountable problem rather than "why try?" territory.
"Meta Talk" for what seems to be super popular. An overview of what the fit does and it's possible weaknesses on how to counter.
"Mindset" for how to get into the correct point of view for doing a certain role. When I first started playing a Scout, I played like I was an Assault suit with 2.5 times as much HP. It took me a little while before I understood flanking and picking the correct moments to attack. Same thing happened when I went over to being Logistics; I was so focused on trying to kill people that I didn't heal people.
Just some ideas. Sounds like an interesting idea. Always love seeing DUST content.

I'd also like to see comparative videos of module setups.
Like armor tanking, armor regen tanking, shield tanking, shield regen tanking.
Doing these for different races would be awesome.
We may be able to find a PC battle and some test dummies for demonstrations. Send me some mail in game if you're interested, and I'll set you up with some people.
Tactics against fighting other suits. What weapons work against what opponents.
Set up some thunderdome, 1V1 tourney, as well. Maybe even do a raffle video for a champion series.

Fit an ADS with a small blaster turret and show how useless it is, maybe it will push CCP to do something.
Usr the militia swarm launcher on a militia fitting to scare the Hell out of ADS pilots and show how it doesn't require any personal skill
One of the few assaults you'll find in a PC match!
