If you want to listen in to the entire 2h+, you can find it here. (Mad props for all participants! Great episode )
What I take from this episode is a couple of ideas involving PC, which I think would work really well.
PC (defender set) time periods. The idea is basically to replace the current timers (set by the district owners) to a time period, let say a 3h "defence maintenance" window. Any attacker can launch an attack during this window, but it is the attackers which choose the exact time slot. This would to some extent prevent the defenders to set a really awkward time which only benefits the defence, and give some power of advantage to the attackers (time vice).
PC Logistics and Planetary bonuses A great deal was discussed regarding logistics and district ownership, but I think what appealed to me the most was the idea that owning all districts on a planets would give your corp some form of benefits, and moving clones around "connected" districts would not infer a penalty. I think this idea would strengthen a corps will to build "an empire", with actual borders. Of course there are downsides to this as well since there are only X planets within Molden Heath (<- probably spelled incorrectly). One solution to this would for CCP to finally release our shackles and let us roam New Eden. Hey, it's called Planetary Conquest for a reason, right?
One battle / 24h is too little. One complaint raised was the fact that it's currently a lot of work setting up a PC battle. And the limitation to have one battle (max three if enough clones?) every 24h is too few. They might not even be enough to conquer the district, requiring several days of battles to take one district. I think "one PC battle" should always consists of at least a couple of consequative matches, and the end result of these should always determine if the district is taken or not. My preference (as stated here) would be 3 consequative matches of Ambush, Domination and Skirmish. As far as I see it, PC should be the "end-game" of Dust and as such it should require the teams to be familiar and versatile with all game modes Dust has to offer (at the moment).
Just my 2 ISK from a great discussion. |

Thanks for listening in! The issue of PC is a very very complicated one, so I expect we'll be hitting it in several shows to come, so stay tuned!

Listening to this now... Kain on current PC: "Dark art with blood sacrifice..." since so much of it is undocumented or even errantly engineered...
I like the PC proposal of progression from Ambush to Domination to Skirmish as a culmination of the "end game" of DUST 514...
Be just and if you can't be just be arbitrary.

Its not just OSG. Myself and Jaysyn are from OSG, but Soraya Xel is from Top Men. We also have many regular guests from all over the place and we couldn't do it without them.
Also www.biomassed.net has an episode uploaded every week.
The Youtube is behind and that is entirely my fault because I am a lazy ************.
Regardless we appreciate your support!
