Hey guys, can you tell me what the idea behind the apex suits were?
Also are Dren suits just a skin ? (+ bpo) What about the Quafe suits?
Thanks. |

Here's a video I made talking about APEX suits. Hope it's helpful.

I have 4 now and I run them all the time. Highly useful.
Here's a link to the spreadsheet that lists the fitting of all the APEX suits.
Also remember, while you can buy them for 58,000 Aurum, you can also buy them in the Loyalty Store for a combination of 10,000,000 ISK and 100,000 Faction Loyalty Points.

Thanks, that helped. Though if you want feedback, the video could have been shorter and more on point :P
- Permanent bpo
- Proto layout for extra slots - but mods are of lower level
- No skills required - let you try new roles easily
- fixed (flavor) fitting
Any info on dren/quafe suits ? Please :) |

The Dren and Quafe suits are Standard BPOs that never run out and are customizable.
The drawback is that they require the level 1 skill to use them, but benefit from passive bonuses when skilled into higher levels.

Thanks. Do Quafe and Dren do have the same stats then? (Essentially skins?) Can't find much info on the quafe suits through google :/ |

Basically the specials seem to have just replaced a single module. For instance, the Apex Atlas traded a basic damage mod for a basic shield extender.
The BPOs out that are not prototype are all basic variants of all suits with the same stats and a different skin. For a while, the Dragonfly scout had a different slot orientation, but they've since fixed that.

Just like you said, the Quafe and the Dren have the same stats as the standard suit, just a different skin.

When starting out (say less than 20m SP): Quafe > Dren When more advanced: Dren >> Quafe
Why? Skills make Dren more powerful and you can customize them. |
