Because they want to play the game where they go about and shoot things. Winning is meaningless but the fun in spawning in and shooting people is where the game has been pushed.
A sound tactic to win the game? Not really. A strategy that lets people potentially kill some more people so that little button in their lower brain gets pushed when they do something good? Certainly.

It would be pretty keen if there were wp requirements to respawn when there are less than 10 clones left. I've sat out a bunch of close match ends. Getting cloned when the enemy mcc has a tick left is infuriating. |

This contradicts my understanding of clones depleted.
I thought the game ends when there is 151 deaths and you cannot respawn at 150 deaths.
So if I wanted to win I did not sit it out I jump in a tank and drive fast near the enemy and draw their fire and a drive near cover and jump out and make them chase me. |

Just bring a mic and tell people not to spawn/ to run and hide to avoid getting cloned.
No fix in Pubs.
Kill Death Ratio is an invalid metric and thus should not be used to determine skill.

1) They have no idea that the little ticky-tick bars and the number of clones remaining aren't really related (5%)
2) No one has told/taught them not to (15%)
3) In isolation, the human instinct is to assume YOU can do it better than anyone else. Everyone else is a worthless blueberry (35%)
4) They know all of the above, but couldn't care less about the win or payout differential. They just want WP ranking or Kills or Hacks or whatever their daily mission calls for whether it helps the team or not (45%)
FPS = First Person Support. Kills win battles but it's kinda hard to kill if you're dead and out of ammo.

You should not have gotten so low on clones. CCP shouldn't have made that a condition of winning or losing. I log on to play the game, not sit and stare at a screen. Because it pisses off name calling tryhards like you.
