 The matchmaking system needs to be FIXED.
 
 It's very simple and doesn't need any complex tiers, meta level, mu, or whatever else.
 
 When a match is cued:
 
 Same quantity of players.
 Same amount of equal squads and solo players.
 
 Simply put, the SP and WP lifetime should be equal to the two teams.
 DUST 514 matches are so one sided, it's not fun to play, and it is the NUMBER ONE REASON players are driven away from this game, content-wise.
 
 Our cue times are already long, so long wait times is not an excuse. Low playerbase is not an excuse. This was forever ruined by the lack of balance.
 
 Make a matchmaking system that is simple. If pub stompers don't like it, then tough. This is New Eden. And since you have yet to come up with a good model for a tier system, just stick with simple lobby shooter balancing.

 Reducing squad size to 4 would give Scotty a bigger pool from which to pull.

 I believe that there needs to be a que for players in squads, and a que for solo players*. The que for players in squads would fill each team with 3 squads of 6, all re-arranged according to Mu scores. Soloers would be in a match with other soloers (or maybe squads of 1-2 if neccesary).
 
 This makes matches much more fun (and balanced), as both teams have an equal amount of teamwork. Though it would require the team size to be increased to 18.

 They could implement this in a Hotfix over-night if they wanted to.

 I think before matchmaking can fixed the reward for AFK needs to be removed.
 
 Until then AFKers will just crash and burn any system.

 This will never work. I have ~92 million SP and counting. You can't honestly think that it's a fare trade off to place me on one side, and 4-5, ~20 mill so characters on the other side and call that balance.

 Dust suceed? Damn you are delusional the game is too old for that and nobody cares. Its a abomination in the FPS genre and should be buried next to that E.T. game in mexico. And matchmaking doesnt need to be fixed, just look at COD where every 1 is complaining about it beeing put up vs similar skilled players.

Yet the majority of Call of Duty players are satisfied compared to the abomination that was MW3 connection and matchmaking.
