For some reason every time I get on dust, I'll either be able to play in a game or two and then my screen will freeze or it'll freeze as soon as I'm searching for a battle.
Is anybody else having this issue?

A little warning though, opening it up will void any warranty you have on the system. Also NEVER blow air in or out of the disc drive, as it may ruin the lens.
I only play dust514ums now. It was always more fun than the actual game anyways.

I don't think this is the problem because I don't freeze on any other games but dust. I'm resetting my play station to see if this fixes the issue, if not I'll just take a vacuume to the machine.

yes, as P has stated, your PS3 can collect Dust which causes the PS to run hot which leads to possible reason why the system freezes. I know personally whenever my PS3 starts to freeze periodically, I know its time to give it a vacuum to its vents.
EDIT: Ah, I see your response to P. Hope the resetting works out for ya

Try deleting some chat channels. That appears to be what was causing my issues.
