Mine was 1.4 when i first started playing. When Nk hit detection was crap and HMGs shot marshmallows. Was my first experience
with FPSs, i played Cod and Halo briefly over a friends house which got me liking those types of games but never had a FPS game
of my own.
Once i picked it up i never quit. So i think my main problem then was not scout being underperforming, they needed a buff but
not 1.8 type buff, is was since i had almost no experience playing FPSs before. I didnt understand the controls, the maps,
but i knew red means kill it and what suit and weapons i wanted to run.
I was using a Gal light frame for i long time before i got the nerve to just dive into the role of scout. My first proto weapon
was Nk.
Second was SMG & Shotgun (old account).
It was also a long time before i came into contact with other scouts. It was like a sub-culture that didnt exist but you knew were
there. That's why 1.4 is my favorite, coming into contact with other scouts and getting taught stuff and tolerating my awful playing.
Then when i made it onto the scout registry was a major shock. I still get excited when i see my name on there and i think
because of that and my friends ive made is why im still here, and really want this game to get better even though i dont know
what to do to help.

I think my favorite was mid chromosome, i had gotten my feet under me and was starting to be a real presence on the battlefield.
Its mostly my favorite because of nostalgia and bcause that was teh first time it felt like my presence was felt in Dust becuase people started to recognise me in game.
I was no longer a faceless nameless blueberry, i was someone formidable and i started to geet to know the community and the people in it. I still remember the first time soneone recognised me, and ive been with the Inf4m0us boys in some size shape or form ever since.

My favourite time was like the single week back in (I think it was open beta) where I could actually both afford and use the Surya tank. It was a marvellous machine! Just before they removed them :(
Back then tanks had many dynamics, aiming and driving skills were just as important as module management. Yea there were bugs in chromosome, yes it didn't have the nicest textures but the game ran smooth and it was a very dynamic game back then.
Above all, KB/M felt ok back then and I recall all types of control users having a relatively fair experience.

I'd have to say mid chrome did feel good , as i had my sagi and compressed particle cannon . But i would have to say besides a few bugs the last and latest pach/update has returns allot of fun to the game .
Proud Caldari purist . Rank 10 colonel omiwarrior.

1.7 minus the Tanks.
The patch I found out how good the Scrambler Pistol was. Sadly it was nerfed into uselessness in 1.8.
It was the same weapon for almost 3 years. Completely unchanged for the longest time. 3 weeks after i discover it... they nerf the RoF by 25-35%. The reason? So it wouldn't outperform the new Ion Pistol. Lol. It wasn't even OP or overused. It was fine...
"We are adding a new weapon! But we're going to launch it hilariously UP, and we don't want the current weapons of similar type outperforming our obviously UP weapon, so we're nerfing them to its hilariously UP level."

Neither Pistol has ever been useful since 1.8 because of this logic blunder.
That thing was my favorite weapon in all of Dust, ever. I miss it so much.
