Put a pro needle on my suit only to find that nobody hits "x" to be revived! I haven't really run needles that much since they changed it so I didn't realize how bad it has gotten. [: I hate dirty needles!!! They need to know that I have clean high quality needles for them. Some way for them to know that it's safe. I ended up taking the needle off most of my fits because it felt like a waste if nobody would let me save them Dust 514, the BEST WORST game you can't stop playing.

Blue goes down, I avenge him and clear the area and with a rep tool out you see his stats that shows his clone is alive but nothing.... I was thinking, wow 90 WP for revive... If I don't hit X it's because I'm low on ammo and no supply is nearby or I'm not repping and full o' holes. AKA - StarVenger

Tried that, circling them like "hey! I'm right here! Hit X dammit!" But then I get so preoccupied with this I don't pay attention and the battle line moves and I'm screwed. The burden fell on the Logi entirely, to determine if it was "safe" to revive, or if you were just setting someone up for another quick death. Now I think the burden has shifted more towards the downed player to determine efficacy. The new assumption is that if you press X, you're willing to take whatever chance there is to get right back in the fight and any ole needle will do and no one is to blame but you. I like that downed players no longer cuss me when I make a mistake and revive them to die-by-sniper 0.5 seconds later. However, it does remove one aspect of soft-skill to the job, and young whipper-snapper Logi's out there might not be developing as strong a sense of situational awareness as the old farts had to. Yes, it would be fun to have an adjustable revive signal, but I don't see it as a huge need. Perhaps hitting X once would allow only 80-100% needles to work, hit X twice and 50% needles will work, and spam that thang and you'll take a jab from anyone in a dark alley. But I doubt many people are avoiding hitting X just because they fear getting a weak batch of nannites. More than likely, they're just in a hurry to redeploy, wearing a BPO, and couldn't care less about losing the free suit. I blame APEX-proliferation. Now Logi's get cussed for not having enough uplinks nearby. Truly, it makes me consider carrying a second batch of links instead of a needle sometimes. FPS = First Person Support. Kills win battles but it's kinda hard to kill if you're dead and out of ammo.

Kill Death Ratio is an invalid metric and thus should not be used to determine skill. Stabby Stabber.

Cause I here this and watch the videos and I don't know what server they're running on cause I get A LOT if adv and proto with hardly any revives... I must be doing something wrong or CCP hates me. I thought the change to points for revival would encourage more people to carry proto kit though, but I'm rarely picked up by anything other than standard or militia. Plus, when I do call for help, I'm often ignored. I've been seeing a lot of apex logi fits lately, which is part of the problem since they aren't carrying clean needles.

It's especially annoying in city maps where my squad mate is a hmg heavy and I brick tank and when he goes down, I revive him to near full health. Let the blood drip from my knife onto your wound that gapes from- wait there's no gore or blood in this game nvm

Proud Caldari purist . Rank 10 colonel omiwarrior. I fought and bled for the State on Caldari prime.
