So me, bigdaddt69 and some other in forsaken empire spent a few hours running through pub matches with bolt pistols only, this was great fun because people would get pissed off when they got killed by bolt pistols 20 times. However, I logged on today and found that almost everyone was using bolt pistols, some prototyped, some adv and std, even some aurum, and it was horrible.
Is this just a coincidence or was this us? Because people will probably start complaining about how 'bolt pistols are OP' fairly soon

Yesterday I played DUST and then I saw a few other thousand guy did the same... it was because of me? Wow.

hilarious... because before you started playing, barely anyone played dust, but now loads of people do! How amazing.

I was pointing this out because before we started running bolt pistols exclusively for hours on end hardly anyone used them, now everyone is.

Hate to break it to you bossman, but the bolt pistol has been in heavy rotation since the sidearm rebalance. Its pretty good right now.

i know that, but the difference in how many people have been using it between yesterday, the day before, the day before that etc and now has to have had a cause, and it just seems weird.

Thats why I dont play as much weapons n suits have to much advantage against regular people.

you think a SIDEARM that does 250 damage PER SHOT isn't OP? Then why the hell did your corp run it exclusively?
of course it is, it's a sniper rifle in your pocket. why anybody in their right mind would make a SIDEARM that powerful is beyond me.
but then again it's brought to you by the same people who thought nova knives which are more powerful than shotguns should also be SIDEARMS.

Well, ppl who crunch numbers have been using it because it's really strong. Maybe new/normal players are fed up with getting one shot by it, sure..

No, you and you're meh corp has nothing to do with anyone using anything you're not trend setters, and everyone uses the bolt. Please refrain from acting more significant than you really are, it's annoying when people believe that they are anymore than tiny particles of dust in the grand scheme of things.

We were running it exclusively because we were trying to run troll fits, and while it does 250 damage per shot, it only has 4 shots per clip and a really slow ROF. If you're good with it then it can't be stopped, but that applies to almost all weapons

Remove Aim assist from it and watch it's popularity plummet.
It has excessive aim assist making it vastly too easy to headshot people with it. Which is why it's so popular. |
