What makes Commandos underpowered?

And I want people to explain why. I've recently perked into the Caldari Commando and I can say I'm happy with my STD Caldari Commando. The damage buff and two weapons alone is worth having fewer slots and I've never missed having a grenade since they tend to be a distraction in the first place. The State will always survive.

Much easier to kill than a Heavy or Medium frame with that slow ass speed. Should've been a Medium/heavy suit. Somewhere in the middle there. Thank god for CCP Rattati!! They have fewer High and Low slots, so you can't fit a lot of modules to change them (My std Min Scout has the same number of High/Low slots as a Proto Minmando). They have no grenade slot. The benefits they do get, like having 2 Light Weapons, are no where near enough to compensate for all the disadvantages. Thunderbolt. verb and noun. "James thunderbolted in his pants." "I lit a bag of thunderbolt on fire on CCP's doorway"

Great combos Gallente: breach AR / RR Caldari: assault SCR/ assault RR Minmatar: SCR / assault CR Amarr: dual SCR MAG + Dust cb vet, an alt of Velvet Overkill & Agent Overkill AKA Enkouyami (Main PSN).

I personally think commandos are in a good place. I see a lot Minmatar Commandos being used and the Gallente Commando is my favorite suit to use. I can't speak for the other commandos but the Gallente Commando is not underpowered.

Commandos are designed to cover large areas and defend them from attack on land or air. Their low ewar capabilities make them balanced as they are easily detected by vehicles or scanners. This fault allows them to act as lures to dropship pilots or tankers looking for easy kills. This also allows rooftop fgs or snipers to operate without interruption. Having no armor damage bonus is also another hint that this slow character with a large hitbox may not be very useful in close quarters or open areas and the lack of a sidearm strengths this idea. Now the boost in reload speed and light weapon damage lets you know that distance and cover are your top priorities.

I dont know about others but I use mine for mid range engagements whenever I can, with a cqc fit with a breach ar and a sbotty. I got 400 of the neo gk.0 from the event however many months ago and still have 250 or so...havent had to buy any yet. Good solid suit. Mark a$$ tricks, and bags of dicks....
